Morgan Plus 4

Morgan Plus 4 (or +4) is the larger and more powerful version of model 4/4 the company Morgan Motor and was in production in the period between 1950 and 1969. The model was revived in 1985, to fill in the gap between 4/4 and Plus 8 up to the year 2000. And later Morgan Plus 4 was again revived in 2005.

Plus 4 was equipped with an engine capacity of 2088 CC, which was used in the machines Standard Vanguard, mounted on a strong and more long chassis. Hydraulic brakes, first of all the drum, were established for the first time on Morgan.

In 1953, it was announced the start of a much more powerful version of the engine with the I4 volume of 1991 CC, used in the model Triumph TR3. Front disc brakes became option in 1959 and has been standardized by 1960. From 1962 on the model of the installed engine block from Triumph TR4, which increased the volume of up to 2138 cube.

There were about 4600 machines model Morgan Plus 4.
