Mercedes-Benz W120/W121 - this is the car of business class trademark Mercedes-Benz, which was produced by the German automaker in the period from 1953 to 1962-th year. The model was called В«PontoonВ», as it was a first post-war a series of passenger vehicles, made by the company Mercedes-Benz.
The first in September 1953-it, there appeared the sedan W120, which was sold under the name Mercedes 180/180 D. He took over from previous models of the 1.8-liter engine M136 with the capacity of 52 HP, although subsequently was equipped with the 1.9-liter engine M121 diesel and a 1.8-liter engine OM636.
In 1956 the second year of a new model of the Mercedes W121, sold at that time under the number 190. The cars were equipped with more powerful 1,9-litre engine with a capacity of 75 HP and distinguished by a luxurious interior.
Later on the basis of W120 was collected two-door Roadster R121, known more as 190SL, 3 598 copies of which went on sale in the period from 1955 to 1963-the third year.
In all the years of production in total there were sold about 442 963 cars models of Mercedes-Benz W120/W121.
