Land Rover Series I
Car Land Rover Series I was first made the same name by British company in 1948. Originally machine class SUV was intended exclusively for agricultural purposes. Land Rover Series I worked on the 1.6-litre petrol engine, equipped with a 4-speed gearbox. Produced models of the body SUV and, a little later, coupe.
In 1949, it became obvious that the Land Rover Series I is popular not so much among the farmers, how many among wealthy people in need of a good car. This has led to multiple modifications of design of the body, resulting in Land Rover lost initially "Spartan" appearance.
Land Rover Series II appeared in 1958 on the basis of the 2-litre petrol engine, 1957, used and for the previous model. However, a year later cars have started to recruit more powerful of 2.25-liter engines. Among other things, the standard 10-timestnyy version of the Land Rover Series II became longer, allowing it to accommodate in the car up to 12 people at a time. Production of this model was completed in 1961.
