Lamborghini Flying Star II
Lamborghini Flying Star II was not destined to see the conveyor mass production. For all time, was released only one prototype, which was shown to the public in 1966 at the Turin motor show. It's the brainchild of a well-known company Touring, which took part in developing of the first model Lamborghini - 350 GT. Touring was founded back 1926 and managed to take part in the creation of many iconic cars. For example, on the same Turin exhibition of 1966, which became for Touring the latter, in addition to the Lamborghini Flying Star II the company has presented another and FIAT 124.
Lamborghini Flying Star II is installed on shortened to 10 cm chassis from Lamborghini 400 GT. The design of the car was very controversial and was not favorably received by the public. Sloping roof, coupled with angularity lines of the body did Lamborghini Flying Star II like rather on the family station wagon, rather than on the sports car. In addition, the internal space was clearly excessive for just two people and Luggage.
Under the hood hiding aluminium V12-shaped engine, it was assumed production with a 5-speed manual transmission, brake and fully independent suspension.
