Cosworth Vega ahead of its time and if the model appeared five years later, you would have sold better. Chevrolet bought a compact car with a body of type В«sedanВ»/В«coupeВ» in 1970, to fight with imports. The model was sold in several ways, the biggest capacity amounted to 82 kW. The model was established four-cylinder engine volume of 2.3 litres. In 1973, Chevrolet required the Cosworth develop a high-speed model of Vega, and to do it as a sport, and so cost-effective that it was vitally important in the mid-1970s, when a problem with the fuel. Special pistons and electronic fuel injection given 97 kW initially, although serial version actually gave only 82 kW due to lower compression ratio.
