Land Rover Series 3 FFR 109" Ex Military for sale
Current customer rating: (706 votes ) based onFor sale is a very straight and original series 3 109 FFR. The vehicle is presented in a late 1970's BAOR theme. I have owned the vehicle for three years and it has had hundreds spent on mechanical work as well as a full interior and exterior respray.
Mechanically the vehicle is very reliable with a crisp gearbox and transfer box. The steering is precise and has benefited from an overhaul of the steering including four new ball joints and the tracking being re-set. The engine is extremely reliable. being a good starter and pulling very well for a 2. 25 5MBR petrol. The brakes are extremley efficent and have been rebuilt. The tyres are a nearly new set of Deestone XZL'S with the spare being brand new. The lights all work as they should and it has a halogen headlight conversion.
All previous MOT'S are held. with no advisories on the current one.
The body work is extremely straight. The bulkhead is solid and has been subjected to minor repairs by a previous owner. The chassis is very good. having had a replacement rear crossmember and has been treated yearly.
The vehicle is equipped with a NATO slave start socket and will be sold with a tested and working Clansman VRC353 radio and a manpack carrier frame with DCCU to run a PRC 320 radio (PRC320 not included in sale). The radio batteries are included and the charging system works correctly. The interior has two working Penthouse lights fitted. Four radio operators seats will be included in the sale but have not been fitted yet.
To sum up; this is a very straight. lean and reliable vehicle which has been well cared for. It is a perfect first military vehicle. Regretfully being sold due to loss of storage.

Hi,
I have also a 109 Series 3 FFR. Now with broken axle…..I do not have a Salisbury axle installed. Do you know if this Original?
What rear axle is installed on yours? Salisbury? Can you send a picture?
Do you have specific documentation for the military FFR version?
Thank you in advance for your help.
