This beautiful three owner classic Fiat 500 Lux was previously picked & imported by ourselves & sold by us to its last owner a couple of years back. They used it as part of their businesses static display for advertising purposes. Thus it has only travelled less than 500 miles in their custodianship & since its UK import. We have just bought it back & now have the pleasure to offer it for sale for the second time.

It was manufactured in 1970 at the Fiat factory in Italy & despatched to Mr Edmund Hoffmann. He used the vehicle as his daily driver for 20 years (& confirmed that it had never been involved in a road traffic accident) & then parked it up in his garage were it sat for a further 20 years virtually untouched.

Being an engineer he had the foresight to store it correctly however & ensured that the climatic conditions were such that the vehicle did not get damp or indeed rust. He then bought the vehicle out of storage in 2010 & embarked on a full pain staking restoration to show standard with his grandson. whom we bought this exceptional vehicle from. We then transported the vehicle to our shores & obtained full UK registration & sold it to its first & current UK company owner.

This vehicle has the original restored shell with new front floor sections fitted along with the original engine now also fully rebuilt and is one of the best Fiat 500's we have come across. The car looks as new and is no doubt better than when it left the factory in 1970!

The comprehensive restoration started in 2010 and lasted for a year & included: Complete strip to shell. New front floor sections. New front panel / nose. New bonnet. Taken back to the bare metal in preparation for painting. The structure was found to be excellent. The body was then fully primed. flatted down and re primed. The original interior was also fully and expertly retrimmed. The engine was removed & fully rebuilt by a specialist using all genuine Fiat parts & was converted to run on unleaded fuel.

The gear box was also removed & fully rebuilt. the flywheel & clutch were replaced. the handbrake cable was changed. clutch & accelerator pedals fitted. the petrol tank was refurbished & flushed. The complete door card set & interior trim was refurbished or changed. a new carpet set & other items of interior trim were fitted & the original full Fiat 500 rubber protection mat set were reinstated after being thoroughly cleaned. The lights were changed front & rear. all new rubber  items were replaced including the window rubbers. new bushes. new bearings. new springs. new starter motor & exhaust. New bumpers & brackets. new chrome wing mirrors. refurbished original steel wheels. It also received a full rewire including the loom using new genuine parts. The car was then fully reassembled. under sealed. fully tuned & painted in the charming classic shade of Fiat Rosso Sporting.

We previously further enhanced & finished this project by fitting chrome wiper blades. span >  fitted new chrome wheel trims with new chrome nuts. fitted various bits of trim. fitted new number plates. adjusted the steering geometry. We have also just fitted new headlamp surrounds. a new gear lever knob. new bonnet rubbers. complete decal set. new exhaust gaskets. supplied a fresh MOT & conducted a multipoint check along with giving the cheeky little chap a full service just to be sure along with a new set of HT leads! We have even just fitted the rear luggage rack & picnic basket. The car is on the button. very reliable & ready to go…

This cheeky chappy is UK registered. MOT'd & being offered for sale for only the third time in its life. It's great fun & one of the best driving tightest 500's we have ever offered. These models are ever increasing in value & a good restored 500 model is not only a pleasure to drive but a great investment.

Finished in black over dark green (The original taxi colours!) with matching green wheels & white walls. Tan piped cream fresh interior. 6 seat taxi configuration. fully restored (structurally amazing). including rebuilt original motor by Italian owner 2 years ago to show standard & used at club events. winning many prizes.
