I won't apologize for the price.   When you see the vehicle. you will understand.

1974 Alfa Romeo GT Veloce - Factory original color. Lemans blue. This car was restored 6 years ago by the previous owner. Gorgeous rust free example that gets compliments everywhere it goes. The car is very reliable and driven regularly. It was cosmetically disassembled. not the drive train. during the restoration process.

All doors. hood. trunk. glass. rubber. interior. etc was removed before painting.

A new windshield was installed and the rest of the glass was polished.

All new window and door rubber from Re-originals was installed.

The vast majority of the parts for the restoration came from Re-originals (some from Centerline) - new carpet. new seat upholstery. new door cards. new wood veneer for dash and console. correct shift knob. new steering wheel. new headliner. new sun visors. new parcel shelf. alfa logo floor mats. all stainless trim polished.

All screws replaced and all trim pieces cleaned and polished.

Doors hinges re-bushed. strikers cleaned and polished.

Dynamat insulation installed on pristine floor panels.

New Re-originals seat belts installed.

Gas tank was removed and cosmetically restored. new fuel guage sending unit. new rubber and paint throughout the trunk area.

Polished taillight assemblies.

New radio antennae. new exterior emblems. new grill with polished headlight surrounds.

Four brand new Panasports with new Toyo tires were installed after the restoration.

It has "red" IAP Sport springs and Koni Classic Shocks.

Good tight front end. rebuilt/re-bushed correct Burman steering box.

Complete tuneup with plugs. points. wires. cap. rotor. etc. Still the SPICA setup that runs great. Cleaned and painted radiator with all new hoses. The engine runs strong and smooth with no smoke. It has excellent compression (175-180 lbs. on all cylinders) and great oil pressure (20 lbs. at idle and 65-70 lbs. at cruising speed when fully warmed up). The engine does drip the occasional drop of oil but doesn't use any.

The transmission shifts great with no 2nd gear problems.

It is a real joy to drive. as it feels smooth. tight and strong. with no strange noises or issues.

The heater was disabled to prevent possible water intrusion on the pristine floor pans.

The paint looks flawless from 10 feet but could use one more color sand and buff. It comes with the original tool kit. owner's manual. and a copy of the original California Ownership Certificate from 1975.

Boxes of numerous. miscellaneous parts goes with the car. along with spare bumpers.

The car has NEVER been driven in the rain or poor weather and in fact has never been driven at night since restoration. Always garaged and kept dry.

Lastly. the car was thoroughly wax-oiled with Wurths after restoration which is the tan material you see in the door jams. rockers. fender wells. etc.

I bought this car about three years ago from the gentleman that had it restored. It has been a fantastic car for me. but I have just downsized my home for retirement and will not have a climate controlled space for it much longer. It has never been wet since I have owned it.

I emailed Central Documents at Alfa Romeo to get all of the information I could on the car.     Mr. Marco Fazio responded with the following: According to our documentation files. the chassis number AR 3025059 originally corrresponds to an Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce USA (115. 01). manufactured on the 6th September 1974 and sold on the 16th September 1974 to Alfa Romeo USA. Englewood Cliffs. The body colour is "Leman" blue with Maremma wild boar tex interior.

It was first registered when new in San Diego. California on 10/07/1975.

In the past few months. I had all of the fluids changed (engine oil and filter. transmission oil. differential oil. brake and clutch hydraulic fluid. antifreeze- coolant. and the chassis lubricated). I also replaced the rear suspension rear axle bump stops and rear axle limiting straps. and the trunk release cable. I just installed the stainless steel bumpers as the previous owner and I both liked the look of the car without them. I have included photos of the car with and without the bumpers.

I have inspected the floor and body panels from the inside and do not see any evidence of previous rust repair. or accident damage. which is remarkable for a 40 year old automobile.

When I show it at Italian Cars & Coffee. it gets as much attention and positive comments as $250. 00 Ferraris and Lambos. Several people at the car shows said it was their favorite of the show.

I have a clear Tennessee title in my name. I live in a suburb of Nashville. TN. and I would be happy to pick you up at the airport if you would like to fly in to inspect it. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Is it still available?

Is this vehicle still available? I was a proud owner of one of these in my youth - this year and in this colour scheme and I have recently begun looking for one to add to my collection and this one looks to be in particularly attractive condition from the pictures.
