A European-spec. LHD car imported into the UK from Germany and first registered here in June 1991.   4 owners since. and in the present ownership since June 2010 when the car was bought for the owner's honeymoon tour!  We understand that the car has been based in Scotland for this time and cared for throughout by Labinjoh Ltd. a well-known Alfa Romeo specialist.

Recent invoices show that significant investment has been put into looking after the car both mechanically and also on bodywork . with £1500 having been spent just in the last 6 months:

·         New left sill

·         New right sill and lower front and rear wing sections

·         Floor section repair

·         Paint and waxoyling

·         Brake maintenance

·         New rubber carb mounts and post-fit tune-up

·         MoT and minor service

The vinyl hood is in good condition and the perspex window almost perfectly clear.   The interior is also in very good condition with new rubber floor mats. good door cards and handles. good seats and nice wood steering wheel and gear knob.

The engine bay has been steam cleaned and the boot is nice and tidy and fitted with carpet; the original Alfa Romeo jack is in position and a touring breakdown kit and a few spares are with the car.

The original Alfa Romeo-marked wheels are shod in as-new Dunlop SPs with plenty of tread remaining.

The car has an immobiliser fitted. for additional security given the soft-top.

As many of you will know. bodywork condition is all-important with 105-series Alfas and this car has very good bodywork all round with nice crisp panel edges and very good paintwork with virtually no road damage (stone chips etc) and waxoyled underside.

Overall. a Spider with good bodywork. the iconic Alfa Rosso paint and a smart interior.   Importantly. this Spider is driving very well. the twin-cam 2-litre is really strong with good oil pressure and even temperature. the gearbox is slick with no synchro problems. the twin-servo brakes are strong and even and the handling is fabulous. No wonder these Alfas are increasingly popular. in demand cars which really do put the joy back into motoring!  Values are rising - up again in this month's Classic Cars value guide - so if you are considering a Spider. don't delay!
