1968 porsche 912 early swb solid restoration project rare race rally classic 911 for sale
Current customer rating: (168 votes) based on
This is the rare more desirable early narrow body. short wheelbase car. In this state. it is identical in every way to a 911.
The car comes as is in the photos. with the exception that the steering wheel has been switched back to the original style one for a 68 car. The 912 still has the complete wiring loom still installed. wiper system. It has all the suspension. brakes and steering system and rolls freely.
Unfortunately. during transport. the car rolled backwards while being loaded into the container and the rear was damaged as seen in the last two pics. a replacement engine lid is included and the rear cross-member needs straightening.
The previous owner repainted the car in white about two years ago which is why the interior and glass has been removed. This still looks good but will need detailing and cleaning up in places.
This car was imported by me from Kentucky last year. all duties paid. Car has Kentucky title that will need sending to the DVLA for a VC5.
This car is 99% rust free and the floor pans have been replaced costing in excess of $2500
Parts not shown. as I wanted to add more pics of the actual car. are included as follows;
Rear seats. front seats (disassembled and need recovering)
Complete dash and switches minus radio. and if bidding doesn't reach £6000. I will keep the gauges for when I find a rhd car
Some tail light parts
Original rear bumper
Front rs bumper
Rear engine lid
Aluminium engine lid grille
Both rear quarter windows
Rear windscreen (the only missing glass on the car is the front windscreen)
Smugglers box cover
and a few other parts that I have forgotten!
I am not going to continue the project due to the fact because I am looking for and RHD car.
My original intention was to install a 6 cylinder engine and bring it to 911RS spec
Sold as seen
