Seller's notes: "I would rate this vehicle at 95% complete or better - only a few components of the gunners station are missing. Every aspect of this vehicle is restored including new waterproof rubber hatch and door seals. Entire vehicle repainted inside and out. Chrysler 361 V8 engine was police dept. maintained. Mechanically sound - runs great. 24 volt electic system. The ingintion system was converted to 12 volt so tune-up is easy with parts available at any auto parts store. Can easily be converted back to original 24 volt ignition system if you desire. New carburator. Military air cleaner was removed by police dept. Uses same engine as m113 APC's so original airhorn and filter assembly parts are still available. Former Police SWAT vehicle and their mechanics maintained it well!"

V100 Commando Armored Car, M706, 1972 Cadillac Gage, Military Police, Vietnam for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.25) based on 1027 votes

This is a rare armored military vehicle built by the Cadillac Gage Corporation.    This is one of only a handful of complete and restored V100's around.    The hull design of these vehicles was advanced for its' time and the original company (now Textron) still manufactures similar vehicles in military service today.   The first V100's (XM706) were originally used in Vietnam by ARVN Armored Units and later adopted my US Military Police Units in Vientam.   They were primarily used for convoy escort and airbase security duty.   Much more info and video is available on-line - more than I can type here.   Just search V100 Commmando or V150 Commando.   For great info 3:30 minute video produced by Cadillac Gage. search v150 commando on you tube. http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=vtEzeJmzSow&feature=player_embedded

If you are a Military Vehicle collector or just want to own an awesome piece of military history. this is for you.   A former Police SWAT vehicle. It is legally titled and registered.   Chrysler 361 gasoline V8. same as used in M113 APC's.    Top speed of 57 MPH.   2WD or 4WD.   Manual Transmission.   Amphibious without preperation.   Crew of 5 with additional seating for six more soldiers.   Original tread pattern V100 Commando Tires with Run Flat capability.

This V100 has been fully restored to represent a original Vietnam era vehicle from from 560th MP Group (see Ironman. nbsp;center vehicle in original 1971 Vietnam photo).   It has fully operational COMMS. including Transceiver and VIC-1 Intercom & headsets for crew (5).    Antenas are not shown in photos.   Inclueds m60 cradle/mount.   All gear and dummy guns are included with the vehicle.   Rotating turret with gunners sight and removable dummy barrels.   Vietnam era web gear. flack jackets. CVC helmets. maps. ammo cans. tools. M16's. tow cable and much more.   Also included are ready boxes for . 30/. 50 set-up.   Tech manuals. nbsp;spare parts and many historical photos of V100's in action in Vietnam are are included.    Very Complete!!

I also have a gooseneck trailer for sale that is capable of hauling this V100.   If you have the tow vehicle. drive out and hall it home yourself.

Serious buyers only - this is an very rare. expensive and highly collectable piece of wheeled armor.

from Kevin, dated 14 august 2015
Very nice V100. I am a member of a police department in New England who aquired a former military V100 for our department. Can you give me any direction as to where to obtain parts for these units? I do have the full service manual for the unit, but I am trying to get an idea if there is a specific resource for parts if the need arises or is everything custom due to the age.

Thank you,
Kevin
