For Sale: 1968 Camaro Pro-Touring Build Project.

Car is a survivor car that is 99% rust free. The car was originally purchased in Orlando Florida in 1968 and has been in Florida for its entire life. I have the registration and/or insurance information (with a few gaps) dating back to that time as proof. as well as the original manual that shows it was bought in Orlando. As far as I can tell. this car has only had 3-4 owners. The car originally had a 327 V8 engine with 2 speed powerglide.

The car is in the middle of a Pro-Touring build. There is over $12. 00 invested in parts alone. This car has an extremely good start to being a $60. 00 to $80. 00 car. My goal was to build the car as a Single Turbo 5. 3 LS Pro-Touring/Autocross car. which will make a little under 600HP (I can show you the parts list needed).

The following parts have been installed on the car:

·         A 2005 GM LS engine (5. 3L) with a 4L60E transmission. Engine has approx. 25K miles

·         Holley LS Oil Pan conversion for F-Body Conversion clearance

·         LS1 Intake (for aesthetics) along with Lokar Black Billet Throttle Cable bracket

·         Shiftworks 4L60E conversion kit to use original Camaro Shifter

·         Subframe has been cleaned and painted with POR-15 gloss black paint

·         Ridetech Tubular Upper and Lower Control Arms

·         Ridetech Tru-Turn Steering System (allows wider wheels up front and reduces bump steer)

·         Ridetech 2” Lowering Spindles

·         Ridetech Shockwave Single Adjustable Airbags/Shocks

·         Wilwood Front Disc Big Brake Kit (Rotors. Calipers. and brackets)

·         Detroit Speed (DSE) Black Aluminum body mounts (stock height)

·         American Powertrain X-Factor Adjustable Transmission crossmember (can be used for other transmissions as well such as T-56)

·         Smoothed and Painted firewall painted Granite Crystal Metallic (2014 Dodge Durango color)

·         Dirty Dingo Sliding Motor mounts (allow for 2” movement for engine placement)

·         Energy Suspension Polyurethane Motor Mounts

·         LED Front Turn Signals and Rear Tail lights

The following parts come with the car. however are not currently installed:

·         Painless Performance LS Wiring kit with computer (computer will need to be reprogrammed)

·         Brand New LS6 Camshaft

·         LS6 Valve Springs (to work with Camshaft)

·         Detroit Speed Black Billet Aluminum Locking Gas Gap

·         Entire Weatherstrip Kit for the car

·         Rear Spoiler – not painted (holes have been drilled for installation)

·         New Clutch and Brake pedal for Manual Transmission Swap

·         Detroit Speed Deep Rear Wheel Well Tubs

·         5. 3 Truck Intake and Fuel Rails

·         All of the Factory LS parts off the 5. 3. such as Alternator. Power Steering Pump. Idler tensioner. brackets. water pump. etc  (some will need to be replaced to fit the Camaro). Does not include Starter.

There may be other stuff that I have missed. however if you have any questions. please let me know. The car is not currently driveable. however can be made so fairly easily. You would need to bolt up the engine accessories/starter. run the wiring kit. and install a radiator. brake master cylinder/booster (I was going to run a Wilwood setup). and various lines. etc. I have the original driveshaft which will need to be shortened to work with the LS/4L60E. The only rust on this car is in the rear trunk floor pan (about a 2” by 3” size). which I was going to replace when I had a new fuel tank made to work with the LS motor and a very small patch on the front fender where the battery was. The wheels that are on the front of the car currently are not included. The factory wheels will be included. The rotors will be packaged up safe. as they will not fit the stock wheels.

My priorities have changed as I am looking to purchase a new home and need the money for a down payment. My loss is your gain. The pictures with the front sheetmetal off are the most recent. however the others show what the car was like when I purchased it.

I can deliver the car within a few hundred miles of Tampa FL for the cost of gas (to and from).  I will bolt the front end (fenders. core support. etc) together for easier transportation. Everything that has been removed from the car has been “bagged and tagged” so re-installation will be easy. Some of the dash has been removed. however I have ALL of the pieces. This was a COMPLETE car when I started the build. I will not ship it out of the country or to your cousin's friend's sister's daughters house. No Scammers will be tolerated. I have set the reserve below where the car is worth. as I need to get the cash fairly quickly to purchase my house! The car is being listed locally and online. so I may sell the car at any time. A $5. 00 deposit will be required within 48 hours after the sale to hold the car or it will be relisted.
