1956 Chevy 210. 2 Door Sedan

Clean and clear title.

History: All Los Angeles Car

This is a 100% Los Angeles car. I bought the car from a Gentleman in Los Angeles who had had it over 20 years. The car was sitting in the back yard collecting lots of rust. He purchased it from the original owner! You will be the 3rd owner.

Restoration: 100 % restored “NO RUST OR FILLERS”

This Frame off restoration took me over 1½ years. Everything on the vehicle was removed. sandblasted. treated and painted. The body came off the frame for sandblasting. body and paint then placed back on with polyurethane spacers and grade 8 bolts.

Plates:

Original but restored yellow 1956 California Plates.

Electric: American Wire Co.

All new 12 Volt wire kit. with the new style fuse box.  This is also pre-wired to accommodate power seats and power windows. Alarms. Fans. AC and much more.

12 Volt new battery charged with a rebuilt AC Delco one wire alternator with a low RPM regulator on off.

Engine:

Installed is a Chevrolet. 383 Stroker

The Engine is a 1970 Chevy truck block with a  four bolt main. board . 30 over.   I purchased a Federal -Mogul kit for a 383 Stroker. This kit included all the interior parts and was built in June 2013.   The engine rotating assembly is all Federal-Mogul with a high-pressure oil pump and geared timing.  A 750 CFM Edelbrock Carburetor with an electric choke on an electric fuel pump. Mallory HEI distributor and MSD spark plug cables powers this engine.

The engine is dressed with all aluminum covers. and 1. 5-inch blower pulleys.

Transmission: Chevrolet 700R

This transmission is a Chevy 700R automatic transmission with overdrive. It was rebuilt May 2013 with all heavy-duty parts so the 383 stroker doesn't damage it. It also have 1800-RPM converter. This giant transmission is cooled by new steel lines that go to the new aluminum radiator. Controlling the 7ooR is a Lokar transmission shifter with an aluminum knob.

Cooling:

Brand new all aluminum 2 core radiators with an aluminum fan shroud and electric fan on a 175-degree thermostat. If the 16 pound cap is triggered the coolant diverts to the aluminum reservoir.

Rear End:

Original posi-traction 3. 55 gear rear end works great with the drive train set up.

Suspension:  Original Stance

The front A arms where disassembled sandblasted. painted and put back together with polyurethane bushings and new springs and shocks and bumpers.

The rear end is 100% new leaf springs with new shocks and bumpers.

If you want it lower. I can accommodate your preferred stance prior to delivery.

Brakes:

8-inch power booster with front Disks and rear drums.   All new booster. double bowl master cylinder. proportioning valve. Steel lines and rubber hoses.

Fuel delivery:

Brand new 16 Gallon gas tank with 5/8th inch lines fed by an electric pump. New straps with anti squeak film and new sender for an accurate reading.

Gauges:

All the original gauges have been rebuilt and everything in the original dash works. I replaced the Volt. Temperature and Oil down to the bottom with a more modern style. When you want the old ones back. they are ready.

Fan and Heater:

This system was rebuilt and has a new heater core. cables and wires.

Upholstery:

The new complete floor pan and brackets have been painted to match the interior of the car. Above the paint is a anti noise and heat mat. Above the mat is carpet matting to further the noise and heat. then the new tan loop carpet with tan piping was installed. The seat frames were completely rebuilt and updated as needed and new foam was installed prior to receiving the upholstery you see.   The upholstery and headliner is a synthetic leather two tone. stitched 3-inch pleats with a tuck and role style not just sown over foam.   The door panels match the seats and carpet.

Trunk:

The trunk was lined with a removable carpet kit to match the interiors loop carpet.

Body:

The body is 100% steel.   All the rust was removed or cut away after the complete sandblasting.   The floor was in very bad shape and was completely removed and replaced with a complete floor pan and braces. The floor started at the fire wall and ended at the trunk.

New rocker panels.

The trunk received the last 10 inches replaced with new steel. The rest of the trunk was in good condition and sandblasted and treated with Por- 15 prior to paint.

The exterior or the trunk. which is under the rear bumper rear trunk floor section. was completely replaced.   New trunk to corner panel fillers as well as a new tail panel and tail panel brace.

New complete rear quarter panel patches. as well as the new 3 pieces of the rear wheel well.

All was sandblasted painfully welded together and bodywork was performed with the best body materials.

Frame:

The frame was completely disassembled and sandblasted. The frame was then painted with Por-15.

Paint:

The best paint was used for this car.   Both tones are custom and made by myself. A Bone over a Vintage Olive (I call it).   The paint was then covered five times with a House of Color clear. which is in many painters opinion the best clear in the market.

Moldings:

The outer moldings are the original stainless steel.  They were removed and polished to a mirror like finish. The grill was painfully removed and taken apart and triple dipped. Which means that its grinded down then dipped in copper then nickel then chrome.   Expensive. but it lasts a long time.   Most the dash components received the same royal treatment. The wiper and light knobs are new stainless steel. The Radio ring was not chromed due to the possible damage it may cause during removal so I left it alone.

The front and back Chevrolet Crests are chromed triple dip. along with the front bird.

Wheels and Tires:

15-inch steel original wheels were sandblasted Por-15ned and then painted to match the topcoat of paint.   The Coker Classic Tires are G78-15 with a 3 inch white wall.

The Wheels and tires are dressed with the original and sporty attempt of 10 inch polished stainless steel caps with the painted black crests. NOT PLASTIC WITH CHROME PAINT!!!!

Radio:

The original radio sits in its place and is retired.   I replaced it with a new Secret Audio System. base box and speakers. This system sits under the seat. and the blue LCD screen is in the glove box.
