OKAY HERE IT IS YOUR CHANCE IN A LIFETIME YOU KNOW THOSE DREAMS YOU HAVE "I WILL OWN ONE OF THEM ONE DAY" WELL HERE IT IS MY 1960 CHEVROLET IMPALA 4 DOOR SPORTS SEDAN (IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CONCOURSE CAR PLEASE DONT READ ON).   THIS CAR IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION AND A FOUR TIME SHOW WINNING INCLUDING "BEST IN SHOW" BUNTINGFORD 2012 VOTED BY THE PUBLIC (NOT STEWARDS - SO NO FAVOURITISM THERE THEN). ALSO BILLERICAY 2013 ETC ETC.

OKAY THE CAR HAD A NUT AND BOLT RESTORATION AROUND SIX YEARS AGO.   ENGINE. GEAR BOX. RUNNING GEAR PERFECT. nbsp;FULL UPHOLSTERY RECOVERING INCLUDING THE CHEVROLET EMLEM EMBOSSED IN THE SEATING IN WHITE.   IT HAS CORVETTE FRONT SPRINGS AND SHOCKERS TO GIVE IT IT'S STANCE.   IT HAS THE ORIGINAL RADIO BUT NEEDS SLIGHT ATTENTION.   IT HAS 17" AMERICAN RACING CHROME ALLOYS WITH NEW TYRES. IT ALSO COMES WITH A VINYL 45 rpm RECORD PLAYER WHICH ALSO NEEDS SLIGHT ATTENTION.

THE CHROME IS ALL THERE. A LITTLE TARNISHED IN PLACES BUT NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.   THE CAR STARTS ON THE BUTTON. SERVICED REGULARLY. HAS TWIN CHERRY BOMBS SO SOUNDS LOVELY.   IT HAS HAD NEW FRONT BRAKE CYLINDER AND SHOES.   A VERY SOLID CAR UNDERNEATH WITH NO RUST.   TOW BAR.

THIS IS A REALLY GOOD SHOWABLE USABLE AMERICAN CLASSIC.

NOW THE BAD BITS - SPEEDO WORKS PERFECT BUT THE MILOMETER DOES NOT.   FUEL GAUGE IS INTERMITTENT A NEW ONE HAS BEEN FITTED CANNOT FATHOM THE PROBLEM OUT.

IT ALSO COMES WITH A VAN FULL OF SPARES: -

FRONT BONNET (PAINT FLAKING BUT SOLID)

TWO WINGS (STEEL)

ALL THE ORIGINAL PARTS BEFORE THE RESTORATION (NUTS. BOLTS WIRE LOOMS. ORIGINAL SUSPENSION COIL SPRINGS. DASH BOARD DIALS AND HOLDERS. BOXES FULL OF STUFF)

PLUS PLUS A WRAP AROUND SCREEN (OVER £1. 00 FROM SWEDEN)

THE ORIGINAL TWIN EXHAUST BOXES

NOW THE BORING BIT.   PLEASE NO TYRE KICKERS OR DREAMERS.   IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO COME AND VIEW THE CAR.   IT HAS FREE TAX UNTIL DECEMBER 2014 AND MOT UNTIL THE END OF JULY.

I CAN NEGOTIATE IF THE SPARES AND RECORD PLAYER IN THE CAR IS NOT WANTED.

Hello,
I am from Berlin and really interested in this car. I would like to know if it is still available?

Hello. I'm from Norway. Do you still have the 1960 Impala ?

from David Olsen, dated 01 june 2014
I would love to purchase the car, but I live in United States...shipping could be a problem or quite a cost. I'm not sure on the conversion from British to American dollars as far a price goes. If it was 14,000 American dollars, I could probably swing it. This was the first car I ever owned (16 yeas old) and paid a whooping $325 for it back in 1969 and it was like new. It brings back good memories. I'm 62 now and a retired Air Force Officer (LtCol). If the cost and shipping costs were right, I would do my darnest to come up with the money. If you could give me more info on the cost, etc. would be appreciated.

Just out of interest, this looks very like my old Chevy that I imported during the late 80's via either Dream Cars or Luxury and Power, I forget which. It sat in my garage for years as I took all the old paint off and resprayed it. I never did get it on the road though.
Any new owner might like to know a little more about it, like the fact it belonged to the US Navy.
