 This truck was built to be the perfect mix of Rat Rod special touches along with a drivable good looking appearance. We have built many Rat Rods using the proven combination of GM AD truck bodies riding on S10 chassis. The last truck we built won a BEST HOT ROD TROPHY AT FESTIVALS OF SPEED ORLANDO. This build started with a completely disassembled 52 5 window body where all body panels were sand blasted and evaluated. The vision for the final product was not a show winning perfect truck nor a nasty looking Rat Rod but a mix of both with a lot of custom touches.

Drive train:
1999 S-10 Chassis. 1999 Suburban 350 (5. 7L). Wednesday heads w/ Crane gold roller rockers. GM Aluminum intake with a Bowtie Racing built Quadrajet carb. Hooker headers with dual exhaust. TH 350 with a mechanical lock-up converter. New Champion aluminum Radiator. New electric fuel pump. New electronic fan controller. New trans cooler. New gauge pod. New gas tank sending unit. 3. 42 gears in a solid 7. 625 Gm rear. NEW alternator. NEW starter.

Exterior & Body:
NEW floor pan. NEW firewall. NEW cab corners. NEW Bed sides. custom diamond plate splash pan above the front bumper. NEW American Racing / REV wheels 18x9. 5 rear & 18x8 Front with NEW tires all the way around 275/35 rear & 225/40 front. Custom mixed Satin Hugger Orange paint with Satin black accents. The orange paint looks completely flat at night but in the sun light it has a nice unique shine. DICK BROTHERS DIRTY RODS custom mason jars for turn signal housings with Chevy Bowtie decals on the jars ( MAJOR ATTENTION GETTING TOUCH. ALWAYS A CONVERSATION POINT ON EVERY TRUCK WE BUILD). Custom wood bed floor with tinted silver stain. 1950's aluminum cooler in the bed houses an Optima redtop battery. Tail lights are original GLASS LENSE units equipped with the old school glass blue dots. Hood was stripped to bare metal and cleared along with the letters in the tailgate. Nice factory chrome hood emblem and NEW chrome hood trim.

** In one of the pictures of the cab you will notice the truck in primer but also a black layer of paint on the top surfaces. All of the top surfaces are painted black under the orange ( roof. fenders. bed sides & cowl area) we did this in case we wanted to or if the buyer wanted to do some  PATINA sanding.  

Interior:
All NEW window seals. NEW door seals. NEW window felt. NEW door handles and window cranks. NEW door panels. NEW custom seat cover with front pockets for storage. NEW windshield glass and NEW back window. NEW carpet. NEW complete 17 circuit wiring harness. factory gauge clusters were machine by hand to look fully customized.
CUSTOM DICK BROTHER DIRTY RODS COBALT wrenches for door handles/pull bars. old school style 2 knob radio with cassette and 2 hidden speakers. Working cigarette lighter for charging your phone or to power a GPS.

Suspension:Simple 3" drop springs in front with many NEW suspension components and 2" blocks in the rear. For a couple hundred dollars you could easily drop the truck another 2". We chose to set it at a height where it is truly drivable by anyone. without feeling like you have to worry about every bump in the road. The truck measures 5-1/8" from the ground at the bottom of the running boards from the front to the back with just a slight bit or rake from the back to the front.

Additional notes:
Body mounts were all custom made so the body could sit low without the need for massive suspension lowering. entire chassis was coated with POR 15 rust inhibitor. We used a mix of refurbished original parts and new parts to make this truck look very unique and cool. Picture this as your sports team theme truck. Florida Gators. Tennessee Volunteers. Clemson. Texas Longhorns. Denver Broncos. Hooters or with a Harley Davidson Motorcycle in the bed.
This truck has an amazingly comfortable high quality ride. approx 300 HP so it is very quick. although it was built to be more of a cruiser and not a racer having the power can still be fun. The truck handles very well and can hang a sharp corner at speed with ease.
We also wanted a very clean engine bay so we did not install heat or AC but the new wiring harness has all wiring circuits to add AC or any power accecories.
