This is a 1967 GMC C15 Step Side Pickup 2 wheel drive.

When I picked this up. it was all original. I replace the motor with a 1993 Camaro Z28 LT1 that I converted it to carburetor and rear distributor. The transmission is also the 1993 Camaro Z28 T56 6 speed manual. The 1993 Camaro Z28 had 126. 00 miles on her when I took her apart. It was a good running car that I parted out. The previous owner used bondo and fiberglass to cover up the rust. cancer and dents. I started to do some metal replacement on the bed around the mounting holes for the fenders. I replaced the hardware with stainless steel nuts and bolts for the rear fenders. I do have one inner and outer rocker that is not installed.

This is what I have done on this truck

LT1 Motor swap with new Edelbrock carburetor and new GM LT1 intake manifold. heads have been done (valves. guides. plane heads). HEI small cap distributor. new water pump. radiator from 1993 Z28 was used so I could retain steam tube for the heads. Motor does not run hot. Does not smoke. Runs great. Voltage regulator eliminated and one wire alternator used. Long tube headers for D port LT1 heads. I converted to carb and distributor because I was going old school. This was originally going into a 1931 Chevy Coupe. Hence the Air Scoop.

T56 Transmission works great. New flywheel. pressure plate. clutch disc and throw out bearing. Speedometer is not hooked up because the T56 uses VSS and the speedometer is cable driven. You could use a Cable X box or do the tail shaft conversion. I use my GPS for a speedo.

Replaced dash with factory gauge panel. No more idiot lights.

New Holley electric fuel pump. I used a new fuel sending unit for a 1972 with automatic trans for the fuel return line so it would not wear out the fuel pump. It works great. You can't hear the fuel pump which is right under the cab. There is also a new JEGS oil pressure switch for the fuel pump for safety reasons.

Heater box has been rebuilt. I cleaned and painted it and put new seals on it. The heater control panel is also rebuilt. No new cables. The originals were in good condition. New heater core.

New seals on the side vents.

Vent wings have been replaced with ones from a 1970 C10. These are much better than the ones for a 1967. The handles look almost new.

Windshield rubber seal has been replaced but there is a crack in the lower right corner of the windshield. This does not obstruct driver's visibility. Safelite can replace with a new one for $230. 00

12 bolt rear axle. the rear brakes have been done. New drums. shoes and brake cylinders. The gears are the original 3. 31. I do have an open carrier and an Eaton Positraction unit with a set of 3. 72 gears that are not installed.

The bucket seats are from the 1993 Z28. The only tears are on the drivers left side bolster. Still very nice and clean. I do have the original bench seat. It does need reupholster. I had to use bucket seats because of the shifter location. You could do a shifter relocation and put the bench back in it.

Hooker headers into dual exhaust and Flowmasters 70 series mufflers exit behind rear tires. Sounds great not a lot of noise in cab.

Sony AM/FM/CD Stereo.

SunPro Tachometer.

Radiator from 1993 Z28 with electric fans

New drive shaft with new u joints

Hydraulic clutch with new Wilwood cylinder

New E3 plugs

New plug wires

Power brake booster. yes power drum brakes. Getting ready for disc brake conversion

New motor mounts

Spare tire carrier installed under bed.

New door window felts

New channel felts

New door and ignition locks

Thermostat for electric radiator fans

New Powerforce harmonic balancer with 2 groove pulley. Getting ready for power steering conversion

New Yellow Top Optima Battery

Parts that are included and not installed

Power steering pump. new power steering line. power steering rear box.

Parts for disc brake conversion. 1972 spindles. rotors. wheel bearings. brake backing plates. new calipers. new pads. new brake hoses.

Parts to rebuild front suspension. new upper/lower ball joints (1972). inner (1967) outer (1972) tie rod ends. new upper control arm shafts. new mount for sway bar. new polyurethane bushings for sway bar. new idler arm. /p>

New Holley fuel pressure regulator with return line fitting.

Posi carrier and open carrier with 3. 72 gears

I do have the dash pad but it's cracked and faded. I took it out when I replaced the windshield seal and painted the top of the dash gloss black.

2 New Colorado license plates dated 1967 still in DMV envelope.

Title

The guy I bought the truck from had the paper work in the glove box that showed he had bought it from a car dealer here in Colorado Springs. so I never checked the VIN. This is registered and has a clean title for Colorado based on the Service Parts Identification VIN that is located on the glove box. The VIN tag located on the door jam is not the same. I talked with DMV about changing it and they told me. If the car is titled and registered then let it be and don't try and change it. If I don't sell the truck. then come spring I will take it to the Sheriff's Department and go through the process of changing it. With this being said. this GMC is registered and has a clean title in the state of Colorado. I am not sure of other States or counties for VIN Verification.

More Info

I do use this as a daily driver and it's a lot of fun to drive. Even with the 3. 31 gears it is fast. but it could really use that Posi with 3. 72 gears installed. It would make it even more neck snapping. I don't use 6th gear unless I'm doing more than 70 mph. This would make a nice little Rat Rod or restore it. These 1967 through 1972 GM truck are very popular especially Short Bed. Step Side and small back window. which this has it all. I really don't have to sell this. but I'm looking for a 1977 Firebird to build a Tribute Car for my Grandson (16 months old) in memory of his Mother. my daughter. who gave the ultimate sacrifice. her life in Kyrgyzstan. She had a 1977 Firebird in High School. I'm in the process of trying to locate the original car. With all the extra parts. you could rebuild the front end. add disc brakes and power steering. and drive it around while working on it. I like the GMC trucks over the Chevy trucks because of the dual headlights. The body is rough under the primer and bondo. I do get comments when I'm at the store about how cool it looks and sounds. I was going to rebuild the front end and add power steering and disc brakes over the winter but decided to try and sell it and let someone else do the work. The new parts are there. just need to be installed. I thought about pulling the motor and trans and putting those into a 1977 Firebird and parting out the truck and selling all those new parts. The motor and trans alone are worth around $4000. And you know these are in good working order. not like the ones for sale that are sitting on the garage floor and the seller says they work. I definitely have more than $5000 into this project. between buying the 1967 GMC and the 1993 Camaro Z28.
