This is a highly desirable and very rare collector piece of American Mopar Muscle History. where can you find another. true California car all its life. complete matching numbers. ownership history. original manuals and warranty booklet.
The 440 was originally purchased new at Gary Walsh Dodge in Petaluma. California and has fortuneatly remained in California ever since.
Its a true time capsule and preserved as a well cared for California collector car.
The Factory Push Button transmission works flawlessly.
The 440 is the rare hardtop model. you see plenty of post cars out there but the hardtop series are few and far between and as a result are a collector favorite with Muscle Car enthusiasts.
There is a stack of invoices and service work dating back to 1964 that comes with the car. and also California DMV documents and registrations dating as far back as 1970. incredible history.

Push Button Automatic Transmission which works great. shifts smooth.
Power Steering

One repaint in 1980 and the original color is still evident in the jambs. trunk and hood areas. the current color is a little lighter as evident in the pictures.
The Exterior Paint which is 35 years old is oxidized but very respectable and its obvious its a true and solid California car with no "fresh or recent paint" hiding rusted panels and bondo!!
The paint has some touchups and small blemishes but given its age is quite remarkable.
The body is very straight as is all the body panel fit and gaps with no evidence of any previous damage of consequence.
There are a couple areas on the front two corners of the car and on one wheel well lip where scrapes have been touched up.
The Exterior trim. chrome and brightwork is all in place and given its age again is has survived with only a few dings here and there.
The rear bumper we would say could be replaced or rechromed to make it a little more presentable.

Interior has been redone and WOW. see for yourself. its like brand new.
Dash. door panels. seats. headliner. carpet is all new.
The instrument bezels and face of the dash is very respectable.
The glove box lock is missing.
The weather striping all around the car is tired.
Circa correct Mopar Wheels look great.
Dual Exhaust
The engine compartment is very clean and it shows pride of ownership and maintenance.
There is even an original ink stamp on the inner engine compartment fender that is still visible.
The Chassis is original and tidy and presentable. the previous obviously was attentive to care and cleanliness of the bottom of the car as well as the top!
The trunk area was freshened up with correct splatter paint but he said it was done only for appearance purposes and on top of all original and solid metal pans.

It drives down the road very well and there are no obvious or apparent mechanical deficiencies for a car of this age.

Original California cars like this are becoming so rare. we dare you to find one like this with the paperwork history and original condition!
