1967 Plymouth GTX
Fully Restored!!
Modified 440!!
No Reserve!!

Back in the 1930's Chrysler Corp had a parts division for servicing Chrysler products which was named Chrysler Motor Parts.   As the years progressed the name was shortened MO PAR so it was easier to say over the phone. But by the 1960's there became only 1 word that encompassed all 3 brands. Chrysler. Plymouth and Dodge and that word was MOPAR.   And for the people that where diehard loyal fans of these cars it became MOPAR or NOCAR!!!  Nothing captured that loyalty more than the 1967 Plymouth GTX.   When this car was introduced as the “Gentleman's Muscle Car” in 1967 it paved the way for the Chrysler muscle car line and competition in the muscle car era for the decades to come.

This 1967 GTX that is offered here today started its life as a Satellite and was built to be one bad looking GTX.   The GTX and Satellite where so similar in style which made this car the perfect candidate for a simple name change and was converted into a GTX at the time of restoration.   This body style was a 1 year body style which makes it one of the most sought after Plymouths of its time.   With sharp crisp lines. lowered rear. intimidating badging and tire roasting power. it was unmistakable that the Plymouth GTX had and will make its mark in the horse power race of Detroit Muscle.   Please read on about this beautiful car and view the many pictures and video that is provided to help depict the true condition of this vehicle.   Our lines of communication are open so do not hesitate to contact concerning this car or any other car we offer.   Thank you.

Exterior:

As you can see this GTX presents very well.   The body was professionally restored from the ground up and encompasses an extremely straight appearance with brilliant chrome and polished original stainless steel.   Combined with newly chromed bumpers and Magnum 500 wheels. this car will stand tall at any local car show or cruise night.   The color is PPG Black and was base coat clear coat. color sanded and rubbed.   The body started with an original. rust free. accident free Arizona car with a straight solid body which included solid floors. sub frames. trunk etc.   Although the GTX and Satellite shared a lot of features but it was mostly the ginger bread that made it a GTX.   So it's hard if not impossible to tell this was ever a Satellite.   All the glass is in excellent condition and all lights. marker lights and signals work as they should.   The engine compartment was stripped as well and motor was removed.   All metal under the hood is finished in a mirror like paint job that matches the body. looks excellent and enhances the tweaked 440 under the hood that we'll explain later in the ad.   The car is not a 100 point show car and was built for driving to shows and enjoying.   We're not saying its not possible to obtain trophies. but you will not win any Concourse judging.   Please let us know of any questions you may have.

Interior:

As you can see from the pictures the interior is in excellent condition with a combination of light restoration and original parts.   The dash is in excellent original condition.   The seats. door panels. carpets and headliner have been restored and are in excellent condition.   All the windows operate as they should and there have been updated gauges and tachometer outside the original dash(can be easily removed).   Even the speedometer has been changed to the GTX 150 mph speedometer.   All the gauges inside the dash work as they should as well.   There are no cracks. rips. or burns in the interior and would stand tall at any local show or cruise night.   Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.

Drivetrain:

The drivetrain in this vehicle was done right.   It has an updated 440 that has been tweaked to produce around 400 horse.   The engine does everything right with no smoke. taps or noise and sound extremely healthy.   The torque flight transmission shifts on the money which is married to an 8 and ¾ rear.    Here is the list of upgrades the engine/tranny/rear have.
