Here in our hometown of St. Louis. MotoeXotica Classic Cars has some amazing original MOPARS running around the streets due to the large influence of local Chrysler production over the years that were manufactured just a mile from our facility. Every once in a while. these original machines can be spotted at local cruises and shows but very rarely do they ever come up for sale as the owners never want to let go. This Roadrunner was produced at the local Chrysler plant and then sold at South County Plymouth St. Louis to a gentleman who kept the car in St. Louis. He passed along the car to his daughter who restored it to the condition you see. Today at Motoexotica. we are proud to present this very original fine MOPAR specimen for sale; these opportunities are becoming more and more scarce.

This is an excellent Generation I Road Runner. The make debuted in 1968. The 1969 model kept the same basic look but with some slight changes such as tail lights and grille. side marker lights. optional bucket seats. and new Road Runner decals.

In 1969. the 383-CID engine was the standard powerplant. The Plymouth Road Runner was named Motor Trend “Car of the Year” for 1969. Sales topped 84. 00 that year.

We have your opportunity to grab a '69 Road Runner for yourself — and a customized one to boot. The interior and exterior has personal touches from the previous owners. A custom hand-painted paisley design surrounds the exterior of this Road Runner and is a unique period correct artistic touch. The car left the factory with a Spanish Gold Iridescent color (code Y-4). and the new paint looks very similar. The black vinyl hardtop (a factory option at the time of original purchase) is still in great shape and compliments the gold paint. The car sits on Road Runner wheels.

The interior screams early ‘70s. starting with the custom seats. The usual bench seats were replaced with “Gator Grain” style seats (both still bench seats). This gives a unique feel and sets it apart from other Road Runners out there. The dash is original as are the gauges. and aftermarket Sport-Comp oil pressure and air-fuel ratio help monitor the engine.

Under the hood. the correct 383-CID V8 Road Runner engine will help you run the roads. This engine is mated to a factory optioned TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. An aftermarket B&M Megashifter will give you a sense of power as you cruise the open road. An authentic Road Runner horn with the iconic “meep meep” is equipped under the hood as is an MSD ignition.

The care for this Road Runner was extensively documented. as more than $14. 00 in receipts came with the car. These receipts range from basic maintenance to the installation of the custom seats. There are Polaroids showing the new condition of the car in 1970. and there are also pictures of the car before and after the addition of the exterior accent.

This is a well cared for 1969 Road Runner that is waiting to outrun every car on the road. Mileage reads 32. 98. and it is being sold on a clear Missouri title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
