Current customer rating: (68 votes ) based onOffered here is a 1950 Oldsmobile 98 Deluxe Club Sedan finished in a beautiful applied Red Crystal Pearl over Black interior! Power comes from a later generation 1956 Oldsmobile 324ci Rocket V8-4bbl engine providing 240 horsepower and 350 lb. ft. of torque, a sizeable increase over the original 304ci offering just 135 horses. This mates to an updated Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed automatic transmission and factory rear axle with 3.91 ratio. This Deluxe Club Sedan is nicely accessorized and well equipped to satisfy both the show enthusiast and driver enthusiast alike! It comes with cold modern R134a air conditioning, 12-volt alternator charger system, electric wipers, auxiliary electric fuel pump, transmission cooler, upgraded Saginaw power steering box, tinted window glass, Diamondback 235/75R15 radial whitewall tires, dual exhaust system, and leather-wrapped steering wheel!
According to the former owner, the engine was rebuilt during the restoration process and today has approximately 1,150 miles since completion. An under-dash control panel controls the operation of the air conditioning and use of fuel pump, along with Stewart Warner instrumentation to monitor the engine vitals. Accessories include front windshield visor, dash-mounted light reflector, back-up light, gas door paint protector, carpeted trunk, and Silverliine exhaust tips!
Upon arrival to the St. Louis Car Museum, our service team elected to replace the original springs for new, both front and rear, with units provided by Coil Spring Specialties in addition with new rear shocks and front sway bar bushings/links. The front bump stops and rear axle insulators were replaced during the process along with a 4-wheel alignment. The Rochester carburetor was rebuilt with new floats, and the intake manifold gasket replaced allowing us to tune the car superbly! The engine oil/filter were replaced, all other fluids topped off, and every grease point on the chassis properly lubed. It is a sensational road car, and an obvious head-turner everywhere is goes! It you are looking for something different to cruise this summer, and incredibly well equipped with the driving options you want, stop and take a long look at this Oldsmobile 98 Deluxe Club Sedan! The racy fastback body lines and aggressive stance are hard to beat!
