Jaguar XJ6 Series 1. First registered 1972. Mot`d. 43. 00 genuine miles. One previous owner for over 30 years. Colour Sable. Interior colour cinnamon. This Jaguar XJ6 series 1 4. 2 ltr Automatic was purchased new from Kennings Garage Broadway Peterborough on the 14th April 1972 for the sum of Ł3107. 96. The owner (Mr Gibbs) traded in a 1969 Jaguar 4. 2 Auto Saloon registration number BBP 42G. or which he received Ł2. 00. owards the cost of his new car. A Mr Gibbs the proprietor of a local furniture store then retired to Sheringham Norfolk and took the car with him. Over the next twenty years the car in his ownership covered approx 40. 00 miles. Mr Gibbs passed away and the car was left in the family garage from 1991 until I purchased the car in 2001. The mileage was then approx 40. 00. The mileage at present is approx 43. 00 miles. The car comes with a full history from new. Mot certificates. Service Invoices. Tax disc`s. Purchase invoice. etc etc. The current Mot is valid until January 2014. Minimum use since last Mot. The Car is finished in Sable. The interior trim is cinnamon. This car is a very original example that has not been messed about with over the years. Nothing has been taken off or added to the car over the years. The panel fit is how it left the factory. The main structure and bodywork is in very good condition. o welding has been carried out since I purchased the car. I believe the only time the car was welded was when new sills were fitted about 30 years ago. Everything else is original. The exterior paintwork has not been re-touched or blended in for over 30 years. . The engine bay was resprayed in 2001. The interior is totally original and in excellent condition. She still retains her original carpets which are like new. There are no rips. ears or missing items. She still retains her original Motorola radio complete with purchase invoice (Ł58. 60) The headlining material has through storage developed the usual Jaguar fate and has dropped in places. This is the only interior item requiring attention. She starts. rives and stops as a Jaguar should.
