Originally conceived as a closed car (think MGB GT). the MG soon developed into a roadster. Introduced in 1962. the MG became endeared in the hearts of motoring enthusiasts for decades to come. This lovingly maintained 1965 model year example sports a recently rebuilt 4-cylinder engine with plenty of power. paired with the 4-speed manual transmission. It is finished in classic British Racing Green and is a blast to drive. This is a long-time one-family owned example since 1966. affectionately refered to as "Kitten".  Enjoy our presentation and feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions.

Under the hood is the stout 4 cylinder engine. This twin-carbureted powerplant was rebuilt with power in mind. It runs smooth and has a linear torque curve. The original 1965 MGB engine was rated at 95 horsepower with peak torque at 110 lb-ft. This example is producing in excess of this. while remaining fully streetable. Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' service facility oversaw the rebuild. with new pistons installed. bored . 030 over. bearings and seals replaced. Also. the carburetors were both rebuilt. The fuel tank and lines were flushed out and coated. The brakes have been checked. The slave cylinder was replaced. Approximately $7. 00 was spent 2 months ago on this rebuild and other work performed to this MGB with verifying paperwork.

Further inspection of the engine compartment confirm original sheet metal throughout the firewall. inner fenders. and core support. This is indeed a solid MGB.

The interior features custom upholstered black vinyl bucket seating with contrasting piping.

The dash houses classic Smiths gauges including the 7K tachometer and 120 mph speedometer. There is no radio for this car. only the sound of the rebuilt 4-cylinder engine. The classic spoke steering wheel is a perfect fit. This car actually handles quite well and has more than enough power to satisfy motoring enthusiasts.

The door panels are restored in black vinyl with contrasting piping to match the seats. The door undersides are clean and solid. free of corrosion. This is a dry climate MGB and it shows.

A roll bar has been installed to protect the occupants.

The trunk houses an extra wire spare/tire along with a solid pan. finished in matching British Racing Green.

The undercarriage displays good solid flooring and framework throughout. The gas tank was recently removed. flushed and coated. Also the fuel lines were flushed and parts installed as needed to bolster the fuel system. The carburetors were rebuilt along with the engine. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts as it should.

Further inspection of the exterior will confirm clean and detailed body panels throughout. The paint shows well. with only minor imperfections.

Many of our photos were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum. located only minutes from our showroom. Be sure to visit our friends at the Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas. Texas.

The brightwork shows well. The MGB displays a distinctive grille and bumpers. before the crash-bumper era of less than attractive urethane and rubber.

This classic '65 MGB rides on true wire wheels wrapped in Dunlop radials sized at 185/70R145 on each corner.

The black vinyl convertible top shows well. It will retract and we also have a convertible top boot. There are a few snaps missing for the boot along the passenger side. Also. the driver's mirror face is missing.
