I am a collector of  1957 300C's and this car is in great shape for its age- able to drive it home.   I have owned the car over 20 years and it had a paint job and the front bumber had been chromed when I purchased it.   There are 4 new white wall tires + the extra. also new. nbsp;in the trunk.   There are 5 correct repainted rims. new battery. rebuilt radiator.   Of my many cars. this car has the most correct sound due to the mufflers being replicas of stock.   The radio speakers need to be updated.   This car has been stored in a moisture and humidity proof conditioned storage and has only been driven during good weather.   I have more pictures available upon request.   Please read about the history of the 300C-

THE 1957 CHRYSLER 300C WAS THE THIRD OF A TEN YEAR PRODUCTION RUN OF FAMOUS "LETTER CARS" THAT WERE THE ORIGINAL MUSCLE CARS.   A TOTAL  OF 2251 WERE MADE WITH 1767 HARDTOPS AND 484 CONVERTIBLES.   THIS CAR SERIAL NUMBER 3N571215 IS ONE OF APPROXIMATELY 448 (20%) CARS STILL KNOWN TO EXIST.   BY 1957. THE 300 LETTER CARS HAD DEVELOPED A REAL REPUTATION BY WINNING THE FLYING MILE AT DAYTONA BEACH AND THE AAA STOCK CAR CHAMPIONSHIP IN 1956.   THE "FORWARD LOOK" STYLING OF 1957 WITH ITS DRAMATIC FINS. A LARGER "HEMI" ENGINE OF 392 CUBIC INCHES AND A THEN SENSATIONAL NEW SUSPENSION SYSTEM WITH TORSION BARS WAS BY FAR THE BEST OF THE SERIES.

THE 300 WAS BASED ON THE FULL-SIZED CHRYSLER HARDTOP WITH THE ADDITION OF A LEATHER INTERIOR. HEAVY DUTY SUSPENSION. A POWERFUL 375 HP ENGINE. span >  A HEAVY DUTY 3-SPEED TOURQUEFLITE TRANSMISSION. UNIQUE STYLING WITH LITTLE ORNAMENTATION FOR ITS DAY AND A DRAMATIC GRILLE OPENING WHOSE SHAPE HAS CARRIED WITHIN CHRYSLER CORPORATION TO THIS DAY AS SEEN ON MANY OF THEIR LATEST CARS.

THESE WERE BIG . FAST CARS THAT HAD A SUSPENSION COMMENSURATE WITH THEIR STATURE.   THEY HAD 2 1/2" X 12" CENTER PLANE BRAKES WHICH WERE THE BEST OF THEIR DAY FURTHER AUGMENTED BY AN AIR SCOOP UNDER THE HEADLIGHT FOR EACH FRONT BRAKE.    NOT ONE RAN AWAY FROM A 300C AS THEY WILL RUN WELL OVER 100 MPH FOR AS FAR AS THE ROAD ALLOWS.   THIS IS EVIDENCED BY THEIR USE ON THE N. J. TURNPIKE AND THE MASSACHUSETTS TURNPIKE TO CATCH  THE FEW JAGUARS AND MERCEDES THEN AROUND THAT WOULD EASILY OUTRUN THE STANDARD POLICE CARS.

THE 300 IS A WONDERFUL HIGHWAY CRUISER TO THIS DAY WITH THE ONLY DRAWBACK BEING THE BRAKES WHICH ARE NOT AS A GOOD AS THE CURRENT DISC BRAKES AT HALTING ITS 4600 POUNDS FROM HIGH SPEED.    YOU CAN DRIVE THIS CAR ANYWHERE AND RECEIVE MUCH ACCLAIM FOR YOU WILL NOT FIND MANY OTHERS LIKE IT.   THIS WAS AS TRUE IN 1957 AS IT IS THIS NEW MILLENNIUM.
