1968 dodge charger General Lee.

Rebuilt 440 Big Block 4 Barrel with less than 500 miles on it

Up for sale is a work in progress. beautiful 1968 Dodge Charger. Selling because I have too many projects. this one is almost done just needs a little TLC and restoration. I have more than $25. 00 invested in it. The motor is . 30 over(I have all specs on it). rebuilt 727 auto Trans with less than 1000 miles on it (new stock converter). rearend has been gone through with new bearings/axles/gears which are 3. 73 now and not a posi. the set of 2. 73 gears go with sale.  New painless wiring harness(headlight to taillight). all new autometer gauges. new gas tank/fuel sender and lines from tank to carb 3/8'. new shocks/ air shocks on back. Everything new in engine compartment. all new brakes(shoes. springs. drums. wheel cylinders on all 4 wheels) also including new booster. New heavy duty leaf springs on back.  New dual exhaust 2. 5"with flowmaster 40's knock offs. New BFG tires 4500 miles on them. The engine is a 440 (out of a mid 70's futy interceptor) with a small cam. shaved heads. looking at around 375 hp. and 8. 75-9. 5 compression. New Edelbrock performance intake. New 650 double pump/dual feed/Quick Fuel carb. New electric Holly blue fuel pump. New 1 7/8" primary Hooker headers ceramic coated by Jet Hot inside and out. new electronic ignition(hei style). comes with 2 new champion aluminum radiators(one 4 row. nbsp;one 2 row). All new rubber on front suspension/steering by PST.  It does have a cooling problem. might be a simple fix like a shoud or different fan/radiator. nbsp;runs a little hot at stop lights and at idle for periods of time. Trunk lid inside is signed by all the living cast members including stunts guys and Daisy's daughters. all authenticated by Ben (Cooter) Jones. Body in real good shape little rust bubbles in paint on passenger quarter by lip of wheel well (nothing major or holes. all covered by paint) rest of car is smooth with no apparent rust issues(it does have some body filler though. look at pictures) it has a 2 stage paint job and cleared over side decals but not on roof decal. nbsp;floor pans look original but reienforced underneth car. trunk pan has been replaced at some point before I got the car with flat steel(see picture). The whole undercarriage has been black coated. All glass is in good shape no nicks or cracks windshield has some fogging on bottom. New cd/mp3 player with i-pod conect. and new kenwood speakers in front. new Boss speakers in back. Has some new weather stripping on car and some still in box. The interior is in ok shape probably needing seat covers/door panels/carpet. etc (looks to be mostly original). I also have the stock gauges and 2 clusters to go with car. as well as ac stuff. manifolds. starter. alternators. some new weather stripping. old brake stuff. 383 and 440 intakes including 750 police interceptor thermoquad carb. old wiring harness complete. original leaf springs. oil pans and original dual horn breather. I do not have anything for the center console never did. Also it is NOT a numbers matching car even when I got it. Many extra parts not listed to go with sale.

Needs speedo cable. Having issues with ignition(I think its a bad distributor or coil) but still runs. just a little rough.
