Austin Cooper S recreation. MiniWorld Feature Car August 2011. RE-LISTED DUE TO BUYER PULLING OUT AFTER AGREEING SALE. Thousands of pounds worth of receipts and old Mot's.
I am selling the car as I no longer use it. I have owned the car since 1999 and have spent thousands of pounds on it far more than it would cost to buy an original. The car is in very good condition. no rust and it has been painted for 11 years. It has a Rob Walker 1293 Hill climb spec engine with tunnel ported head running on twin SU's. straight cut gearbox. straight cut drops. 90BHP - 77lb/ft Torque. The panels that were repalced during the bare metal restoration were all Heritage and it has a MK1 bonnet with the hinges relocated. The bodywork and paint was done by Foundry Classics a well known classic car restoration company in Dorking. Everything on this car is either new or reconditioned. All the suspension components and subframes were stripped. blasted or acid dipped then painted. The underside was taken back to bare metal. and primed with anti rust primer. then painted in body colour. It has a centre binnacle conversion and Newton Commercial Carpets. It has a one off Mini 40 Years Corbeau interior. black headlining. It has only done 750 miles since the restoration was finished in 2004. This must be one of the top mini's around. It is a hard ride and the 286 cam can be a bit lumpy for some but this is offset by the top end power it really flies round to the 7700 rpm redline. Have it advertised elsewhere so will end the auction early if sold. £500 deposit by Paypal within 24 hours of Auction end remainder in cash when car is collected. The car is described accurately. you are bidding to buy at the auction end price not to haggle so if you intend to do this please don't bid. The car is available to view in Fleet Hampshire. no joy riders or tyre kickers thanks.

Rear Mk 1 light conversion. original lucas reversing lamp (not functional). Wide Grp 2 arches. Mk 1 grille and Austin Cooper S badging. Interior. Moto-lita steering wheel. Safety New seat belts front and rear. Wheels Genuine Japanese lightweight Rose Petal Replicas. they still have the labels on the inside. Tyres Yokohama A510 165x60x12. If you know anything about mini's you will know how much all these parts let alone the time and labour cost. The body work and paint was done professionally as I know my limits. The car has what I think is a realistic reserve on it. It gets alot of attention wherever it goes. People are asking silly money for Mini's now and alot are rot boxes full of filler. This isn't. it's been painted for over 10 years and looks as good now as the day it was finished.

Hi all. Please follow the link below for a short video of the car reaching 80 mph in second gear and the speedo is accurate. The engine had previously been run in on a rolling road at CC in Reading where the power and torque print out was taken. This video was uploaded in April 2011 shortly after the MiniWorld shoot. http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=u1mtmQaOC3g

Hi Paul,
Hope you're enjoying the car. I was just reminiscing and threw in the old reg of the mini and saw you're question. I insured her with HIC. If you ever think of selling please give me a call on 07774151379 as I've regretted it ever since.
Thanks and happy new year.
Rob

Hi, Found your old ad on the internet for the Mini (ABW218E). I am buying it from the chap (Martin) who bought it from you.
I just wondered if I could ask who you insured it with? Just trying to speak to a sensible insurer!! Thanks Paul Acklam
