1967 Buick Skylark Convertible

Rare convertible with the most desirable factory color combo; Red on Red on Black. This is a California rust free straight bodied car tastefully customized. It has a new Chevy 5. 7 high performance engine and Corvette 700r transmission. The suspension and brakes have been upgraded and the car drive's. handles and stops amazing. The new interior looks amazing and is very comfortable. Everything functions on the car as it should. Most parts have been replaced. customized. Although the Skylark hasn't been driven much. t was built with reliability in mind and can be driven daily. weekends or across country.

Body - The body has been de-trimmed and custom painted. All body trim and emblem holes were professionally welded prior to body prep. Hood and trunk were painted off the car and the inside finish is the same as the outside finish. Hood hinges are powder coated black. Door hinges were replaced. Most hardware (bolts) have been replaced with stainless allen-head.

Convertible Top – New Top and hardware professionally installedTop frame was completely removed rebuilt and professionally repainted in semi gloss black with automotive paint. Top was professionally replaced with a high quality Stayfast black canvas materialwith new  Top Pads. Cables. Back Window and weather stripping. Hydraulic pump and rams are in perfect working order.

Interior – Completely refinished. Dynamat was installed in every square inch of the interior sheet metal. New factory molded carpet and underlay padding. Original factory dash is in perfect condition with all exposed sheet metal repainted to match body color. Factory dash chrome is in almost perfect condition with the factory speedo. fuel gauge. and idiot lights (All Functioning). Custom Digital Water Temp Gauge installed where factory in dash clock was located. Factory dash AM in dash radio looks nice but does not function. Steering column was also painted body color and has a Billet Specialties Steering Wheel. Factory console was customized to house B&M ratchet shifter and factory style Auto Gauge tachometer. Console plastic was repainted to match interior and the metal was re-chromed. Metal plate was welded to the floor for a secure solid mounting surface for shifter. Factory buckets and rear seat were recovered in bright red vinyl in a traditional 60's pattern. Driver's seat has a 2” extension brackets for the taller driver. Window regulators are in perfect condition and the windows roll up and down as they should.

Trunk – Custom panels fully carpeted. All sheet metal surfaces Dynamated. Custom side panels with matching interior red carpet.

Engine Compartment –Satin black finish. Engine Wiring has been concealed behind and under engine. Factory Horns have been relocated and concealed behind fender along with the front wire harness

Engine- GM 5. 7/350 crate short block with mild street Cam. ZZ4 aluminum heads. Roller tip rockers. Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. Holley 670 Street Avenger Carb. Billet style dual fuel inlet with fuel pressure gauge and steel braided fuel line to fuel regulator. flex fan with factory fan shroud. Shorty aluminized headers. MSD Billet Distributor. MSD 8. 8 Wires. Aluminum timing cover and tall aluminum valve covers. aluminum pulleys and accessory brackets. Black powder coated 2-wire alternator. Summit High Torque Mini Starter. Customized Buick Star Wars air cleaner housing was fiber glassed smooth and painted body color.

Exhaust System -2. 5” Aluminized Dual with X-Pipe. 40-series Flow Master Mufflers ran over the axel and dumps just behind rear bumper .

Transmission – Custom built 700r transmission with 2200rpm stall converter. Corvette cervo. shift kit and topped off with a custom B&M ratchet shifter. Driveshaft was shortened and balanced with new U-Joints. Steel braided lines from transmission to B&M transmission oil cooler.

Suspension –Replaced all front suspension with quality Moog replacement parts (center Link. idler and pitman arm. upper and lower ball joints. upper and lower a-arm bushing). CPP 500-Series Late Model Technology 12:1 ratio steering box and new power steering pump with steel braided lines.  2” CPP Drop spindles with new stock height factory coil springs. CPP front 1-1/8” sway bar with poly urethane bushings. Rear end and rear suspension has been untouched except for the CPP 3” lowering springs. Rear end functions well with no unusual noises.

Factory fuel tank was hot tanked and finished in bright silver with new fuel sending unit.

Brakes -Upgraded Corvette C5 front brake calipers and Corvette C4 13” drilled and slotted rotors. Upgraded 8”dual diaphragm brake booster. Willwood Aluminum Master Cylinder and CPP aluminum adjustable proportioning valve custom mounted level. Under hood brake lines were custom plumbed in bright finish. Rear brakes are factory rebuilt drums.

Wheels and Tires – Boss 20x8. 5 wheels with new Tires

Chrome work – Front grille. head light bezels. rear trunk trim were all re-chromed and painted in semi gloss black. Front windshield Stainless trim has been highly polished. Door and window trim has a semi gloss black powder coat finish. Both Front and rear bumpers mounting holes have been welded with plates and studs so you don't see the chrome button heads and re-chromed. Rear bumper back up lights were also removed for the clean smooth finish. New Door Handles installed. Original Buick drivers and passenger door mirror.

Glass –Front windshield was replaced with smoked glass and the rest of the glass is original with a light smoke tint.

Weather Stripping- All has been replaced with high quality factory style replacements.
