Unique opportunity to obtain a very very rare. Genuine 1982 Pontiac Firebird. Factory Black T-Top car. Full tan PMD power interior. Turbocast wheels (5 in total). Bowlingball caps (8 in total). round shifter. Cowl Induction bonnet (functional). smoked taillights. vented fenders. front and rear ground effects.

Car has been in dry storage for the last 18yrs and has no rot. The car is basically rust free and has had most of the body prep completed (never been welded underside. is original and excellent). just needing minor finishing work now prior to a full respray. I have replaced the original 200C gearbox with a reconditioned TH350 unit. high stall torque converter. new rear shocks. new starter. UMI performace torque arm relocation kit. New gearbox mounts. new droplinks. new Cooper Cobra tires all round. New door seals. boot seals. door window sweeps (inner and outer) all fitted and I have complete set of brand new T-Top weather stripping still in the bag. waiting to on once the respray is done. Brand new front nose grills too.   I have spent a LOAD of money on this car. Has pervious history from import right up to being parked up. then again from within my ownership. Last owner had the car from almost date of import till I bought it and was in the Pontiac Owners club and the car was serviced and mantained regadless of cost by Autopontiac.

The V8 engine is carbed and the car has a mechanical fuel pump. Engine runs sweetly. starts first turn of the key. no noises ect just that awesome V8 burble. As I said I fitted a new gearbox. the shifter cable still needs adjusted and I havent got round to changing the kickdown cable (the TH350 cable is different to the 200C cable). Car runs and drives without issue. all the electrics work aside from the mirrors. I added a set of power mirrors as the originals in this car were damaged. the mirrors work. but I have not wired them up yet (full wiring harness included).

When I got the car it was covered in dust and still had its original factory paint from 1982! There was some surface rust on panels as you get (not pitting. more like what you see on Arizona cars. but only very minor). There were dents all over so my mate who is a professional panel beater has repaired all these for me while at teh same time. taking that pretty well all back to the bare metal. It was then primed and shot in black guide coat. The car is currently still sitting in black guide coat. will need a few dents in base of drivers door sorted and the boot lip rubbed down. everything else has been done already. Once this is done the car is ready for high build primer then top coat. I have owned many of these cars over the last 12 years and this is the best I've had. being an 82 is especially special.

I could go on for ages about it. I know the car inside out. Floorpans are like new (I have pics). batter tray isnt rotten and neither are the rear wheel wells of T-Tops. Any bits you dont see like the T-Top center bar. black A pillar and sail panel plastic trim. armrest console lid ect I have. its just been removed for the body prep. A full decal set in Gold with the 3 bird emblems and 2 Trans-Am fender embles are included.

When was the last time a stock Factory black. T Top 1982 car was available? The last 82 car I saw on Ebay had originally been red. had a wrecked interior and needed a reaspray. although it still looked shiny black and nice and had a KITT nose bolted on. it sold for £6. 00. my reserve is a good bit LOWER and this car is miles better (but without shiny paint). Also. please be aware that if the reserve is not met. I WILL NOT BE RELISTING this car. I will just keep it and finish it myself then show it. Only reason for sale is that I fancy a change so thought I'd see if anyone genuinely wanted it. so I could get something else. as much as I love this car. I have a habbit of changing my second cars fairly often. but again. if it doesnt sell I'll be happy to mothball it over the winter and finish it in the Spring.

Please ask any sensible questions you would like. but please only ask/bid if you are genuine.

Cash on collection.
