This van started life as a bread delivery truck here in San Diego. CA.  It was in gentle used and serviced for only 60K miles by Holsum Bread here in the San Diego area.  The second owner cracked a head/block  due to him running it out of coolant. (faulty maintenance).
I purchased the van from him.  This van was to be uses for my medium/heavy duty mobile mechanic business that I was starting up here in North County San Diego.
I  found a 360 roller cam engine ( I believe it is a 92 engine block) which I rebuilt with all new pistons. re-conditioned and  re-sized the rods. Polished the crank and all new bearings. did a complete valve job and had hardened seats installed. new lifters. oil pump. fuel pump. water pump. rebuilt carburetor. alternator. serviced the distributor. rebuilt A/C compressor. new filter/dryer and receiver. The radiator was serviced and in excellent shape.
I pulled the transmission (Torqueflite  Mod. 727)  and had my shop go through it.  Being the Heavy duty model there was very little wear on it.  We resealed it and it was good to go.  I pulled the U Joints. inspected and repacked them.  The Differential was serviced.  We went through the brakes replacing the Booster/Master cylinder. rebuilt calipers. wheel cylinders. new shoes and pads so they are in excellent shape. The exhaust (from the header pipe back) is new.
THe B300 van had three options for differential ratios.  I believe this is the 410.  You would have to pull the cover off of the diff. to see the I. D. tag to ascertain that.  It has been long ago and I just cannot remember.
Last. but not least. I had the rear springs re-arced and all new shackles. bushings. bolts and U-bolts installed for heavier carrying capacity as this van is no longer set up for hauling bread.  I installed new shocks all the way around. The front springs I kept as they give a much better ride and did not need to be upgraded.  Makes for a smoother ride with the stock springs.  I installed roller wheels under the rear step so that this van will not drag through steeper drive ways.  Instead it will roll through them.  There is no trailer towing hitch. nor has there ever been.  That is why the transmission was in such great shape.  However. you can install one for your needs.  We just did not need one.
Now for the Box.  It is a Grumman Hi Cube Rear door Van.  All aluminum and in Mint condition.  NO CORROSION anywhere.  I repainted the van complete in white urethane and had logos and signage for my business applied on the sides and rear. (The signage has since been removed).
The interior of the van;   I reupholstered the seats and door panels.  I painted the interior of the van and the dash.  I installed heavy duty marine engine room insulation on the inside of the "dog house" and it runs cool in the cab.
I started with the floor. (which is the original apitung installed by Grumman and is in excellent shape) and laid linoleum squares for a nice shop floor.   Over the linoleum. there is the foam interlocking squares that make it very easy on your feet when you are standing and working at the bench. I fabricated a steel bench with center drain and shelving for storage.  I painted them with catalyzed gray urethane paint plus hardener for durability.  I installed a Generack 4KW electric start generator (with the control panel mounted under the workbench)  underneath. drawing fuel from the gas tank.  (I have a box of air and oil filters for the generator).
I installed  a new Curtis 150 psi. compressor with a 13 HP Kohler electric start engine with the exhaust professionally plumbed outside and underneath the van.  Inside the exhaust pipe is wrapped with fiberglass heat insulation tape so most of the heat is shunted outside.  I installed copper air lines with the air chucks and condensate bleed valves at the hook ups. The compressor and installation was over $3000. 00. There is less than 6 hours on the compressor.
I installed an electronic dual battery isolator with a second battery (for the work area) and 12v overhead florescent lights for excellent illumination.  I put up Snap On magnetic tool strips  over the workbench for convenient hand tool  access while you are working on the bench.
I hard mounted a stainless steel tool box. parts drawers. and  file cabinets (for additional storage and manuals).  I installed a fuel/vacuum hose. electrical wire and hose clamp rack . You can refer to the pictures for these items.  I also have installed a Winzer parts cabinet.  Depending on the agreed price. Winzer parts may stay with me as there are several thousand dollars worth of new parts there.  I installed a job box between the driver and passenger seats that will store hanging files and invoices.  It flips up so that you may write your job ticket with ease.  I did not install the laptop pedestal mount as we used the top of the dog house for a work table.
There is an auto retract hose reel that has the larger hose (for my 1" drive pneumatic lug wrench) and air jack.  The hose fittings can be changed for the 1/2' fittings for standard  air tools.
One plus for any California buyers;  The van is smog exempt.   :-)
My tech did not work out and this van has been sitting inside my warehouse out of the weather and sun since I shut down my business.  I have over $30. 00. 00 invested in this van with all the improvements and upgrades.  I know in this market  I will not get that back.  Do not shy away from the age of this vehicle as it was gently used and has been all refurbished since I got it.  If you were to go through the hassle of getting a new van and equip it as this one is. you would be in excess of $70 to 90K. depending on what you spec it out for.
Here is an opportunity to get a turnkey shop van. ready to go for a fraction of that cost.  The pictures show what this van is and the condition of the unit.
I have set the starting price low because I want to move the van. IF you are not interested in the added equipment that is in the van. I. E. the compressor. tool box. generator. work benches. storage cabinets and just want the van. I can adjust the price with any or all items removed from the van.  Any questions regarding this vehicle. feel free to contact me.  (760) 754-3166 (office)  (760) 533-7540  (cell)
Note:  A prospective buyer asked about the tires.  They are over 60% and drive smooth being steel belted radials. I mistakenly said that they should be replaced however. after driving it today. they are sound and handle well at any speed.  I took it out on the freeway and it rides very smooth.  I had only put less than 4 thousand miles on the van since it was rebuilt and re-configured as a shop van.
