This fire truck. stored inside for the past 65 years has been completely gone through. It starts right up and runs unattended flawlessly. It shifts smooth and stops the way it is supposed to. I drive it regularly and travel a comfortable 45 mph through town. All the fluids have been replaced. Radiator does not leak. at all. Engine does not smoke. I don't believe there are many miles on this engine.

It has brand new tires and tubes. spark plugs and wires. as well as a rebuilt starter motor[chain driven]. generator. distributor. water pump. carburetor and battery. The gas tank has been professionally refurnished and sealed. Original truck bed is like new. and removable. Hoses and clamps are new. as well as the fan belt. Total length including the rear bumper platform is 19. 7 ft. The tires are 33” tall. All the wooden spokes are original and in excellent condition. Weight 3120 lbs. It's pretty much the size of a pickup truck. Yes. it will fit in your garage.

I have a clear Wisconsin title. Title says it's a 1919. but all indications tell me it's a 1923 or 1924. Originally purchased by the LaGrange Park Volunteer Fire Dept. . but not put into service until 1959. Original history and photos available.

Purchase comes with an extra chassis [pictured] which has the original ‘correct' headlights. and a second excellent original steering wheel. br> horn. speedometer; engine. transmission. drivetrain and brakes. Call me with questions or offers.

Hey I know this ad is dead but I was wondering if the buyer could contact me. The seller doesn't remember who he sold it to. I'm from the department that originally owned this rig and we're trying to locate it to see the condition. Contact: [email protected]

Do you still have your fire truck?

from Steve Vogel, dated 21 april 2015
Does this REO have any of the old sirens or equipment that came with the truck. I know you said the engine runs well but looking at the pictures it shoes alot of rust. How is the body. Our fire department's first fire truck was a 1925 REO. We have looked at this truck in the add for quite some time. $14,000 seems high. We are located on the Olympic Peninsula in WA. Let me know what you are willing to sell it for as I will not go to WI unless....
