1954 Morris Minor A/FX Gasser Drag Project

1954 Morris Minor A/FX (Altered Wheelbase) Gasser Drag Car Project.

This vehicle is for sale locally and I have the right to end auction early at anytime.

No title as this is a drag car. but can provide an Indiana Bill of Sale upon request.   I was planning on getting a builders title later in the future if I planned on making the car street legal.

Custom tig welded rectangle tube frame.

91-92 Inch Altered Wheelbase (90 inches is the minimum for NHRA sanctioned dragstrips)

Front: Unknown 50's chrome straight axle with hairpin radius rods and 40's ford spindle mounts (no front brakes)! Transverse Leafspring front
Rear: Narrowed ford 9 inch. pinion centered. brand new disc brakes. 28 spline axles. 4. 86 Richmond gears with mini spool. Coil Overs mounted on rear axle.   Needs ladder bars built. I have 5 foot 1"x1" square tub mocked up to keep rear end aligned.

Front Rims:  True Magnesium 12 spoke American Racing rims.   4. 5/15 rim.   New 5. 00-15 B. F. Goodrich Silvertown tires.
Rear Rims:  True Magnesium Romeo Palamedes with center caps 8/15 rim.   New Radir Dragster M/T 8. 20-15 whitewall/blackwall tires.

Look the cost of the wheels/tires by themselves and this will give you an idea about what I have into this car.

Engine: 1970-72 396/402 BBC Serial Number 3999290. heads 1970-78 Oval Port Open Chamber Serial Number 6272292. Comp Cams Roller tip Rockers. Gear to Gear Drive. nbsp; 1969 TR2X Edelbrock Dual Quad Tunnel Ram with completely rebuilt 650 Holleys.

Trans: Completely Rebuilt TH350 Automatic Transmission.   Heavy Duty Corvette Clutches. Does not include stall converter.

Includes USED aluminum 4 core radiator. polyurethane fuel cell. 2 jazz racing seats with covers. MSD distributor. high capacity fuel pump.

What it needs:
This is a project. it does not run yet but can be rolled on and off of a trailer. Doghouse is mocked up in pictures to show what it will look like but will be taken off during shipping.
I also have a perfect hood that will come with the car. not shown in pictures.
Needs ladder bars built. couldn't find ones that were about 5 feet so you will have to build something custom.
Needs floors/drive shaft/firewall/wired/exhaust ran/steering etc. etc. etc.
All glass is in great condition except the front windshield. this is a "V" windshield and I have one side that is in good condition but you will need to get a new windshield piece cut and also get new stripping. fortunately the glass is flat so this won't be a problem.
Car is from California and has little to no rust. will need two patch panels. One on Driver Side fender about 2. 5 inches wide and 8 inches long. second patch is on Passenger Side running board about 2 inches by 1 inch. Very small dent on Rear Driver Side fender.   Has small crease that will need to be bent out of front passenger fender.
