This GE 427 was built to the highest specification around 1991; the engine is from a Ford Mustang. the small block V8 289cu. in. which was overhauled and fitted with competition cam shafts. the new Holley carburettor is mounted to Edelbrock inlet manifold and the gearbox is a four speed Hirst Super Shift. all of which makes this a 150mph car. The modified suspension and brakes which gives this 427 its identity are from a 1964 Jaguar S-Type which also means the car is tax exempt. This excellent Cobra is finished in dark blue with bronze bonnet stripes and dark blue leather interior and is supplied with a full tonneau cover and wet weather equipment. A file containing the original sales brochure which states "Don't buy a GE 427 to impress your mother-in-law. Don't buy one as a family runabout. Don't buy one to take your bank manager to lunch. Buy one for the sheer enjoyment. ". Other technical information and invoices going back to 1991 are present.
