Ford Escort 1969 2 Door. I purchased this car as a project around a year ago after looking at many different examples I decided to go for this 4 previous owner vehicle and since then have undertaken all welding that could possibly be needed. as this was going to be my project of a lifetime. for many years I've always wished for one of these cars and set about stripping her down and addressing any welding I could find making it a solid base onto which to build a Mk1 Escort Mexico replica. After having the inner and outer seals. new front panel and rear scuttle. Drivers floor plan. rear inner and outer wheel arches and boot tubs. Rear chassis rail. All repaired and replaced by a very capable welder who is well known and respected in the classic Ford world.  I had new Mexico style wings fitted. After all of that hard work I found myself in a position where upon I could purchase a complete and restored Mk1 Escort from a family member (At much expense and grovelling to my long-suffering wife) So I find myself in a position that I no longer have the time or indeed space to continue on with this project. So now has come the time to sell I'm sure you will agree after seeing the photos or indeed viewing it is a very solid shell and the basis of a great car to come. The car comes complete with logbook in my name showing 4 previous owners in 45years. ! This is a very early model Mk1 and is obviously now tax-exempt. Many parts included with the car.
