If you want to build a crowd-pleasing custom. there are a few simple rules to follow. For starters. base the build around a popular model. Next. keep the paint simple. the wheels tasteful and make sure to dial in your stance. And for the best results. throw in plenty of power. a capable chassis and a sleek interior. Truthfully. that recipe is much more difficult than it sounds. but this sinister '69 Camaro is proof positive it's a formula to create a car that's nothing short of spectacular! At this coupe's core is a solid hardtop body that's been fully reworked from the subframe up. The car now features almost 500 cubic inches of big block power. a modern Tremec 5-speed. a Hotchkis suspension and a stunning custom interior. And if you're ready to rule the show field and the autocross course. it's the perfect all-in-one classic to turn your fantasies into reality!

Recently transformed into a lean and mean pro-touring dream car. this spectacular 1969 Camaro displays great bodywork under a spectacular finish. Its metamorphosis started with an original 1969 Camaro body that appears to have never seen any significant damage. Those components were shipped to Gothic Customs in Columbia Station. Ohio where that body's re-aligned fuselage was augmented with new quarter panels and an Anvil carbon fiber decklid. Once that professionally tweaked profile was massaged into excellent shape. a smooth coat of Viper Red basecoat was detailed with Charcoal hockey stripes and sealed in a thick clearcoat shell. And today. this Chevy sits as one eye-catching classic that has major street presence and lethal curb appeal!

There's no question that the '69 Camaro is one of the best-looking pony cars of all time. And when a skilled builder throws in a few of his own custom touches. it only serves to make things better! At the front of this clean F1. a satin black Rally Sport grille hangs a familiar "Z/28" emblem between stainless-trimmed headlights. a body-matched bumper and crystal clear parking lamps. Above that grille. a traditional ZL2 cowl induction hood anchors like-new glass behind straight stainless trim and bright-finished wipers. At the sides of that hood. sculpted fenders combine with traditional chrome door handles. billet marker lamps and a correct chrome mirror to add just the right amount of detail to the car's glowing red profile. And at the back of those fenders. a D80 decklid spoiler hangs above flush-fitting tail lights. a second "Z/28" emblem. a mirror-like bumper and polished stainless exhaust tips.

When this killer F-Body rolled out of the restoration shop. it was equipped with a traditional 454 that's been balanced. blueprinted. bored . 060 over and estimated at roughly 550 horsepower. And since many of these cars came from Norwood and Van Nuys already fitted with big block Chevys. that transition was as natural as using the car's roughly 600 lb. /ft. of torque to melt a couple of black Goodyears into a cloud of white smoke. At the top of the monster mill. air flows through a milled and polished cleaner to a reusable filter element that rides above electronic Holley fuel injection. a familiar F. A. S. T regulator and convenient F. A. S. T. pressure gauge. The resulting air/fuel mixture makes its way from a tall. ceramic coated intake to Procomp heads that hide stainless steel valves under a slick pair of milled and polished covers. Once those heads flood the cylinders. a cast Procomp crank combines with forged Probe pistons and a Lunati Voodoo cam to transform high octane into high performance. Fires for that performance are lit by an aftermarket points distributor which sequences sparks between an Accel DFI coil. Accel Hi Temp Super Stock wires and a Mallory HyFire 6 ignition system. Cooling for those fires is provided by a big aluminum radiator that's fitted with chrome. corrugated hoses. a polished overflow tank and two Spal electric puller fans. Exhaust is handled by coated Doug's headers that perfectly contrast the car's Viper Red engine block. And charging comes courtesy of a polished alternator that. along with a chrome AC compressor. a coated Weiand water pump and a polished power steering pump. is spun by an attractive March serpentine system. Aesthetically. the glossy red engine compartment is exceptionally clean featuring details such as billet hood hinges. billet brace bars and a stainless radiator header. And items like a chrome brake booster and high quality Optima battery ensure this Chevy runs every bit as good as it looks!

Under this tire shredding Camaro you'll find a fully restored chassis that's ready for both the strip and the turntable. Directly behind the car's buff engine. a new 11 inch clutch engages a polished aluminum driveshaft via a Tremec TKO600 5-speed. That driveshaft turns big 3. 90 gears inside a proven Detroit Locker. a solid Ford pumpkin and fresh Hotchkis Bilstein shocks. Opposite that pumpkin. a complete front end rebuild saw the addition of tubular control arms. two inch drop springs. two more Hotchkis Bilstein shocks and Classic Performance Products power steering. All that 'scoot and slide' hardware rides on a complete Hotchkis Stage 4 suspension that's fitted with Wilwood power-assisted calipers and large drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust flows from the aforementioned Doug's long-tube headers into polished. true-dual pipes that hang a traditional X-shaped crossover in front of polished Magnaflow mufflers. Power is put to the pavement through a razor-sharp set of Rocket Booster Hyper Shots which spin 225/40ZR18 BF Goodrich G-Force T/As in front of 275/35ZR18 BF Goodrich G-Force T/As. And the car's all-original floors. which have been over-restored to match its first class body. feature a full array of finishing components that include a new stainless fuel tank. new stainless fuel lines and high quality. braided brake hoses.

Open this Chevy's tight-fitting doors and you'll find a highly customized interior that wraps a nice blend of classic style and modern convenience around firm. hi-back racing seats. In front of those surprisingly comfortable seats. a modified dash hangs a full set of Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lites behind a stylized instrument panel and controls for the car's Vintage Air climate system. At the base of that dash. a custom console. which has been carefully wrapped in leather. anchors a black-balled shifter between a modern Alpine head unit and buttons for the car's four power windows. Below that console. high quality carpet props color-keyed floor mats next to big Kenwood kick panel speakers. At the edges of that carpet. custom door panels wear clean armrests between billet jamb vents and brightly polished handles. Above those panels. a custom headliner frames a long overhead console between a billet mirror. functional courtesy lamps and an integrated Center High Mount Stop Lamp. In front of the driver. a tilting Flaming River column spins a polished steering wheel around a full set of billet pedals. And behind the passengers. a custom package tray hangs over a fully restored trunk that's finished with an Infinity amplifier. two Kicker Comp subwoofers and a small fire extinguisher.

The sale of this red hot resto-mod includes a stack of build receipts and corresponding component manuals.

Well-built. fully detailed and attention-grabbing in every way. this Camaro finds the perfect midpoint between show and go. And. since it's constructed in adherence to the basic tenants of custom-car building. you can be sure its appeal won't be a victim to time. If you're ready to bring home one of the nicest F1 resto-mods we've ever seen. free up some garage space and give us a call!
