1963 MGB ROADSTER, Restoration project, unwelded original panels. for sale
Current customer rating: (693 votes ) based onFor sale 1963 MGB Roadster recently imported from Johannesburg. the car was taken off the road in 1999 due to gearbox failure. The owner then decided to strip it down and repaint. but as all good intentions he never got round to it. hence it stood in the glorious Johannesburg sunshine till now.
The bodyshell has never had any rust repairs in its life and all the panels look original. the rust on the panels is only surface. the chassis and underside is 100%. no welding required. It will need a pair of floor pans. but at least there is something to weld to. The doors have a couple of rust bubbles and would repair easily. no need for skins. the door bottoms are excellent. The sills both side are very good and straight. Boot floor has no rust and the engine bay is also very good.
The running gear is rust free and looks in good order. The wheels and tyres were new just before the car was taken off the road and are still in excellent condition.
We dont know the condition of the engine. but was a good runner until the gearbox was removed. the gearbox is missing. the guy took it to the repair shop and never collect it. The radiator. nbsp;door cards. carpet. centre console are also missing. All these parts are readily avaliable from the many MG specialist.
Viewing is welcome and we do have ramp facilities avaliable.
Thank you for looking
