1979 Jeep CJ-5 Renegade original paint and body with SBC V8

'79 CJ-5 in great condition with many useful upgrades and modifications.   This classic Jeep is totally functional with plenty of old-school off-road style and many original Jeep components that are now hard to find.   This is not a sanitized resto with no character; it comes with some imperfections and lots of character and is ready for your next jamboree or adventure.   This vehicle has many great features. including a great original Jeep body and frame. original Renegade paint. and is outfitted with a Chevy small block.   The engine runs 35-40 lbs. oil pressure. has never ran hot with this engine and has plenty of power to get through the tough stuff. It is ready to jump in and drive anywhere your allowed to drive.

Drivetrain:

·         305 cubic inch GM small block V8

·         Dana 44 rear end with new Trac-Lok and 3. 73:1 gearing

Please view our detailed photos carefully!!!  Please bear in mind this is a real Jeep that has been used for off-roading.   While it is in great condition for the age and use of the vehicle. and it is free of patches and rust that degrade many older Jeep bodies and is still wearing it's original paint that shines nice. it has not been restored.   However. it is clean and much care has gone into assuring good running condition.   There are numerous scratches. weathering. and other wear and tear found throughout the vehicle.    The most notable flaws include a top-to-bottom crack in the windshield (otherwise in good shape). a small rust hole in the driver side cowl panel. weathering and cracking in the original Renegade decals. and small areas of sheet metal damage below each door.   The original fender flares are weathered and beginning to crack.   Also. the rear seat upholstery needs to be replaced.
