1971 Plymouth Duster. 493 8 Cylinder 487hp Gasoline Engine. 3 Speed Automatic Transmission. RWD.

A Factory 340 car restored with factory colors in base coat clear coat. Interior includes new carpet and floor mats. Front and rear seats have been re-covered to factory original.

Car has rally dash with 150 mph speedometer. Drive train consists of 493 cu. in. R B engine with Proform 950 carb. and Edelbrock Torker intake. Direct Connection stage 4 heads with Manley severe duty valves. 2. 14 intake. 1. 81 exhaust. Competition Cams street roller . 550" lift and 288 duration. Rocker arms are Harland Sharp 1. 5 rollers with heavy duty chromed shafts. Bottom end consists of Mopar Performance forged 4. 150 crank. with Manley forged rods and Ross Pistons that produce 9. 75 compression. Oil pan is Milodon low profile 7 quart with 1/2" pick-up and Melling HV pump.

Transmission is a 727 prepared by John Winters Transmission with reverse manual valve body and Hurst quarter stick shifter. Car has a slightly narrowed 8 3/4 rear with tig welded back brace and 4:30 gear and Detroit Locker differential. Rear is Super Stock springs and front is factory 6 cylinder torsion bar with 74 model front disks. Rear is 71 New Yorker drums. Front fenders and hood are fiberglass from U. S. Bodysource.

Wheels are Cragar Drag Stars 15 X 3 1/2 front. with Mickey Thompson and 15 X 10 rear with Hoosier wrinkle wall street tread. Also have 15 X 10 Drag Stars with Mickey Thompson 28 X 10" slicks with lots of life left in them.

This car on Premium Unleaded gas and 10" slicks run 7:30's through the mufflers. I have owned this car since 1980 and it has been garage kept since 1992.
