Toyota AE86 Corolla Levin GT Coupe Twincam, JDM Drift Hachiroku

 Here we have my 1983 Toyota AE86 Corolla Levin GT Coupe. The car was originally imported from Japan some years ago and has seen a few different owners over the years. I bought the car a year ago and since then I have spent alot of money and time on it but now its time to try something new.

I originally bought the car with no tax or MOT and it needed no work to pass an MOT but unfortunately not long after buying it the engine developed a bottom end knock so I pulled out the engine and began a full engine rebuild. The engine has been built by myself to a high standard and at much expense. it pulls like a train for a little 130bhp engine. I had the crank polished of any imperfections. the bores honed and new piston rings fitted. ARP crankshaft bolts conrod bolts and flywheel bolts. ACL heavy duty bottom end shells and a full cylinder head overhaul. I have lots of receipts and photos for the build. It has a 4 branch exhaust manifold and full straight through stainless exhaust. it does have a slight blow but it sounds great! The car has a standard LSD which still locks up well and puts a smile on my face :D gearbox has no major crunches except for reverse. which is pretty normal of a car of this age.

Along the way I also changed a few other bits to make the car a little better such as a full polybush kit compromised of Powerflex and Superpro bushes. I have fitted the full  front kit and rear ARB bushes but I have not got round to fitting the bushes to the rear arms. I have changed the inner track arms and fitted steering lock spacers which gives a little extra lock to use. it has a proper manual steering rack too. Ive also fitted some Compbrake pillow ball joint outer track rod ends. I will also throw in a pair of new bottom ball joints which I have not fitted yet. The car is on KYB gearclimb shock absorbers and unknown lowering springs with negative RCAs. it has a front strut brace and an adjustable Whiteline Panhard rod. The wheels are Wedsport RS5 14" alloys and are very lightweight. grey centres with a polished lip although they do have bits of damage.

The bodywork is standard apart from a genuine TRD rear wing. aftermarket front grill and Luke towing strap on the front bumper. The paintwork is far from fantastic. theres a couple of little dents here and there and some small scratches. The shell seems very solid and has only minor surface rust to the underneath. please view the car before making any offers.

There are some small interior trim pieces missing to finish off the inside. it has a the original passenger seat and a Cobra bucket seat on the drivers side. There are no back seats with the car and most of the rear boot plastics are missing. I didnt get any of this when I bought the car unfortunately. A half cage has been fitted and it is very solid and also a pair of blue 4 point harnesses to both front seats.

BAD POINTS;
As stated the bodywork isnt fantastic so dont be expecting it to be perfect.
The clutch needs to be pumped once otherwise the biting point is very low. this is due to a faulty master cylinder and I have a brand new one on its way.
There is slight play in the steering but the car is 30 years old now so this is to be expected really.
The MOT runs out in a couple of weeks but I will put a years ticket on it for the buyer.
Speedo doesnt work.
