This listing is for a newly imported 1956 Ford F100 pickup truck running it's original V8 292cu in "Y" block engine and 4-on-the-floor manual gearbox. Truck looks to be pretty much original and stock all round and hasn't been messed about with. It does have some areas of blistering paint and some dings. worst being on the front right wing as seen in the pics. It had a replacement hood fitted and also a grille due to the same bump. The grille isn't from an original V8 truck. but the V8 badge is there to fit from the original grille. The hood is missing it's latch. Floors. etc are good and I don;t see any bits needing welded so far.

Engine runs but is a bit rough due to old petrol. old plugs and a faulty fuel pump. A new electric pump is on it's way. new plugs now fitted and running better from a bottle. I'll update as I get the engine running better. All four gears and reverse work and clutch is fine. Brakes work well except the handbrake which has a seized front section cable. I haven't had the hubs off to inspect it but it stops fine. All five tyres are brand new. Windscreen is good. but door and rear glasses have cracks. but all available and are flat glass so could be cut locally anyway. Driver door transmission and window regulator have worn splines but do work. All lights and horn work. but the headlight wiring is brittle and should be re-done. The remote controlled spotlight on the left front pillar works just as it should. Wipers don't work. but the whole system is there. I'll investigate when I get time. Seat is very good and overall this is a very presentable truck which wont cost the earth to become a daily driver. Both front springs have a damaged leaf. but I have located a pair of used springs which I will purchase. though. if you are going to clip it or use a Mustang2 suspension. then this wont be an issue anyway.

I will get the truck registered in the UK before selling it and the price in "as-is" condition is £7500. I don't need any part-ex and I will not swap for anything. so don't ask. and no stupid offers please. I can arrange competitive delivery at your cost anywhere on the UK mainland. Payment must be cleared before the truck leaves here. no exceptions. More pics on request. but you need to give me your e-mail address to receive them.

P. S. I also have a trailer made from the buck of a '56 F100. It has good wheelarches. good front panel and good side panels. Tailgate is missing and I'd fit a UK spec towhitch and lights before using. It is £700 or £500 if it goes with the truck. worth it for the spare panels if you don't want to use it as a trailer. but how cool would that be. matching truck and trailer. :)

Many thanks for taking the time to read the listing :)

Although we are based in Central Scotland. please do not let this be an issue for you as I pride myself on my descriptions and must add that on my other accounts and via magazines. I have never ever failed to sell a car to the first person who travels to see it! If you know what you are looking for. and do decide to come and see. I can assure you the car will be as described here. There is no point in me telling lies about a car. as. quite simply. when you come and see it. you will not buy it if it's not as described. so. a big waste of time for me and a waste of time and money for you. I have no wish to deceive any potential buyer. I've been on the receiving end of that in the past. travelling many hundreds of miles to see something very much different from what was described to me. I aim to change that as a business seller. I'd rather gain a new friend and not sell you a car than sell you something and make a new enemy!! I am an enthusiast first and business man second.

If you want to come and look. I can pick you up at Edinburgh Airport. or Linlithgow or Falkirk rail stations and return you after your visit. I can arrange delivery for you at your cost. London area is about £360 incl VAT as an example.

Sorry to do this folks. but I must add a note here for people who may not think some things through properly. I cannot and will not take a swap on anything. To explain. you want to swap me something. therefore yours is available for sale here in the UK. Why would I go to the bother of buying a vehicle unseen in the USA. take the chance that the seller may rip me off. spend money shipping it. unload the container. pay all the duties. VAT. etc. then simply swap it for something I could have bought here without going to all that bother. not to mention my money being tied up for at least three months awaiting the arrival. This is a business. you go to work to earn your wages so you can eat. etc. I sell imports to do the same. Swaps do not put food on the table. I hope all reading understand where I'm coming from with this. I keep my prices tight so can't pay over the odds for a trade in either. remember I'm the dealer. I can't drop my price to break even then pay you retail for a trade in. no vehicle sales business will ever do that. it's financial suicide. If you want to give me a trade in. I will talk to you. BUT. my price is firm in that case and your trade must be of a cost that I can make something on it too. I also wont take a trade of something I can't sell. 'cause if you've been trying to sell it and can't. then I can't either. simple really. I prefer to deal on a straight sale basis. I write this as I am getting fed up with many e-mail and phone conversations. followed by sending lots of pics. etc to interested parties. only to find that after a few days of time wasting. all they really want to do is swap me for something of lower value or something they have had no luck trying to sell. Don't get me wrong. if after a few days of talks and pics. you decide my vehicle isn't for you. that's no problem. that's not time wasting (as long as you didn't tell me it was definitely for you then change your mind!). Many thanks for reading and understanding.
