I have owned this car for over 20 years. In my experience these yellow wagons always had the least rust - which is something I have no explanation for. So. when I had the chance. I bought this car from a customer. You can see pictures of it from a few years ago. when we offered it up for a soup-to-nuts restoration. on my old shop's site. The car has been inside since then. just like it was inside before. The old pictures are here: though the text on that page is NOT THE SAME as what is being offered here for sale now. Please don't confuse the description on that page with what I have written here. Over the years I worked on this car now and then. but never had a good opportunity to finish it. But now the time has come to sell. So. I have recently done a lot of new work. including putting in new a interior. made for me in Sweden out of the correct materials. There is a new carpet and a new headliner as well. The new interior is pictured on the linked page above. laid out flat. I got rid of the old heater box so I could put in a "vintage air" unit. which has a built-in heater and defroster (see the auction pics below). I have also put in an overdrive unit like the one in the 123. but I used a tunnel from the Volvo P1800 (a car I know very. very well). This allowed me to install the short shifter. and I have found that this combination works great. The car just scoots right along. with cruising at 70 not a problem. If you look at the pics you can see the red tunnel in there before it was welded in place. The pic with the dynapad input shows it finished. You'll note from the pictures that we put a lot of dyna pads in the car to help with heat and noise. The tank was also renewed with a lifetime warranty. The engine was one I built for a customer many years ago and then he wrecked the car. so it was never installed. It is a B22 with a cool valve-cover. I put on Volvo 164 carburetors for better performance. The car also got a new exhaust. It runs very nicely - I am confident you will like it. :) The paint is as it was when I got the car 20 years ago. not perfect but plenty good for me. You may choose to repaint. The only rust was in the front panel where leaves and debris collect. It has been repaired. It is much the same as in the pictures from the old shop's website. New brakes. calipers and hoses have also been installed. An alternator has been added. to provide extra power. I have driven about 150 miles since putting the engine in - that is the only 150 miles this car has moved under power in 20 years. I put in a new windshield with new rubber and also new rubber on the tailgate and Quaker windows. Also I put new rubber on the wing-vents. As you can see in the pics. I also welded the instrument panel and removed the hole for the radio. heater control and ashtray. for a cleaner look. I am still waiting for the molding for the padding on top. There is always something you can do. The car looks really good. I just had it up at vintage park for "Coffee and Cars" where I had a great time introducing the car to many enthusiastic guests. The wheels come off a 2002 Volvo S60 with the necessary adapters. If you want to know about some of the other I have done (including things about my work on Volvos of this vintage (P1800s. etc. ). please check the site for my old shop (no longer in business): There are not many of these wagons around anymore… Additional things: I have the roof-rack . it is pitted but complete. Also included in the auction is a shop manual from the old days that is in real good shape. and a parts book. For questions about the car or shipping call seven one three 584 0nine67 Thank you ………Rolf
