1963 PLYMOUTH SAVOY-MAX WEDGE-LIGHTWEIGHT for sale
Current customer rating: (493 votes ) based onUp for auction a 1963 Plymouth savoy lightweight stage 1. high compression 426 max wedge car. I have complete documentation including original fender tag. factory IBM track sheet. windshield handling decal. hot sheet and Galen Govier visual and written inspection with decode. also have copies of titles back to 1973. it
This car has original 426 13 1/2 to 1 high compression motor. numbers correct block. heads. intake. carbs. exhaust etc. It has the aluminum front end package which includes aluminum hood. aluminum fenders. aluminum stone guard. aluminum front bumper and brackets that are all in excellent condition. Motor is backed up by a push button 727 torqueflite automatic trans and a 4. 89 sure grip 8 3/4 rear end. The motor and trans operate perfectly and crisply! Of course this savoy is radio and heater delete. but did come from the factory with the rare for its time seat belt option.
The savoy has been refinished in its original shade of PP1 ruby red and shines like new. all chrome and stainless including all tail light trim and rear bumper appear as new. The grill and headlight surrounds have been restored and re-anodized. Absolutely zero rust or body damage and all of the glass is original to the car. The interior is a fabulous combination of alabaster and black and is mostly original with all door panels and seat upholstery what this savoy was born with. The condition of complete interior is immaculate. carpet has been installed instead of rubber mats. The ruby red paint over two tone interior must be seen as it is an absolutely gorgeous combination.
This savoy was delivered new to Milne bros. Plymouth in Pasadena. California. it was raced but not cut up or altered and restored back to mint condition with a rotisserie restoration performed by Pat McGroders factory muscle car museum in Phoenix. Arizona. It was later invited by Chrysler to appear in their display tent at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale. It has also been featured in two books. "maximum performance" (see picture) and "proving grounds-a history of dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth racing" both by Jim Schild. also documented in max wedge historian Dale Davis books. This certainly is one of the best high compression max wedge cars that still exist today! It has only traveled 6. 45 miles since new. and has always been stored in a climate controlled indoor facility and been perfectly maintained. Remember ONLY 6. 45 MILES SINCE NEW!!!!
