It's time to sell my 1969 Dodge Charger. Also known as the "General Lee".
As far as I can tell. this car started out life as a purple 1969 Dodge Charger SE from South Carolina. I don't have any more info than that. With the miracles of today's technology. it has been converter into the one of the most famous cars in the world. The General Lee. The car is very solid with new fenders. quarters. hood. floor and trunk from AMD. The engine is a 440. The date code says it's from 1977 but it has a forged crank (not sure what kind of heads it has). It runs very smooth and doesn't smoke. I recently replaced the transmission with a 727 Torquelfite from Hensley Performance in Knoxville. TN. Torque converter was replaced with a TCI Breakaway converter. I also installed a kickdown cable from BPE. It's a very nice piece.

Just about everything has been replace on this car except for a few trim pieces. It has all new wiring. brake lines. fuel lines. gas tank. rebuilt front suspension with new bushings. The underside of the car has plenty of undercoating to help keep it around for years to come. The General has power disc brakes on the front and drums in the back. It's stops much better than you would expect. An aftermarket AC unit has been installed from Classic Auto Air. This thing blows COLD!!! All the gauges are original an work fairly well. The headlights doors pop up correctly when you turn on the lights. The seats have been recovered and most of the interior has been converted over to saddle tan. The roll bar is fake but it is removable.

The outside has the standard General Lee touches but with some personal preferences. The "01" on the doors is like they had on GL in the movie a few years back. The flag is what the call the "Georgia Era" flag. The General Lee "type" is from the late "California" era. All the graphics are from Chad Pulliam. He's known for doing some of the best GL graphics out there. The push bar is also from the late California Era. The wheels are restored Vectors from Detroit Vintage Wheels. They are 15x8. 5. You will notice they are a little bigger than you usually see on most GL's. They really fill out the wheel wells and gives it a wide look. I almost forgot. it has a DIXIE HORN!!!!

Basic rundown of parts.
• New Fenders. Quarters. Hood. Floor. Trunk etc.
• 440 Engine with HP exhaust manifolds
• Edelbrock Carb
• Rebuilt 727 Torqueflite from Hensley Performance
• BPE Kickdown Cable
• TCI Breakaway Torque Converter
• 2. 5" Dynomax Exhaust
• Dixie Horn
• 8. 75 Rearend
• AC from Classic Auto Air
• New Wiring
• New Gas Tank and Fuel Lines
• New Brake lines
• Power Disk Brakes front/rear drums.
• New Front and Rear Bumpers
• Recovered Leather seats. new carpet and headliner.

The car needs very little to be complete. It could use some upper door paddings and a new headlight switch. Some of the trim pieces are showing their age. I also have some pieces I never got a chance to install.
