Right. you're looking at my partners Mini. It's a D reg (1987) which up until December 2011 was her daily drive. it has been dry stored whilst it has been off the road.
She bought the car in May 2009 after accompanying me to the London to Brighton run in my Mini and catching the ‘Mini Bug'. Reason for sale is I recently sold my Clubman Estate so we could get the deposit together for our first house. Since then. we have both lost interest in Mini's. so rather than see her sat in the garage we feel its time for her to move on.
The car has been waxoyled every 6 months since we owned it. the underside is immaculate with no rot present. An oil and filter change was also carried out every 6 months with the Waxoyl.
This car has been sold 5 times on ebay in the last year. with 3 failing to even contact me after the auction ended and the last winner stating he couldn't collect it for at least 3 weeks to 'gather funds'. The last action. ended on the 25th of this month and sold for £2. 00. The third time the car sold. it was MOT'ed and taxed ready for its new owner. however we didn't hear anything from them. Because it was taxed and MOT'ed we decided to do the London to Brighton run in it last year. which it has done 2 years in a row faultlessly. The day after London to Brighton. it was put back into the garage for storage. coming out as an emergency on a few occasions when my car has broken and ive needed to get to work.
It has 2 months MOT left and has covered roughly 500 miles since the last MOT (see pictures). so in my opinion will fly straight through again. If the car sells for the list price. I will put it through an MOT and give it an oil and filter change. It is currently SORN'ed
The car has never missed a beat with us. it doesnt smoke. doesnt use any oil. gears dont crunch. theres no unwanted knocks. bangs whines or rattles. It has always started first time everytime. My parter used to average around 35-40mpg in it. and it does go really well. It is also possibly the best handling Mini I have driven.
The engine is a big valve MG Metro 1275. with a HIF44 on an MG Metro inlet. which was rebuilt originally for my Clubby in 2009 though I opted for a 1330. it has covered roughly 5000 miles since its rebuild.
The car will come with a few spares if wanted. such as arches and whatnot.
A new battery was fitted last week with a years warranty. The car is a 2 seater due to the harnesses. however if standard seat belts were fitted in the front then rear sits could be fitted.

Engine (still stated as a 998 on the logbook)1275 MG Metro Engine. Big valve head. MG Metro cam. HIF44 Carb on MG Metro inlet manifold. Electronic ignition. Minisport LCB manifold. with 2 ½” straight through system to a twin exit DTM upswept backbox
Suspension / subframesFitted with Minisport Hi-Lo adjustable suspension. GMAX shock absorbers. Polybushed front subframe. Front and rear subframes have been stripped. cleaned and painted. The steering rack and track rod ends were replaced in 2010.
Brakes / HubsThe brakes are the 8. 4” Disc brake setup. WITH servo assist. Mintex pads. The brakes and hub assemblies were rebuilt in 2010
AudioBluetooth/hands free head unit. Temperamental with CD's at times. though it is iPod / mp3 player compatible by either Aux or Bluetooth. Radio works well. unlike most minis. Tweeters installed in the front. 2 6x9's fitted in the rear bins. They're not secured down. though have been in the same place since we've owned the car and haven't moved. 12" Fli enclosed subwoofer in the boot.
Bad bitsThere's a few chips in the paint here and there. and there are perhaps a few interior trims that could do with replacing. The worse bit being the paint on the NSF wing (see picture) The drivers wing mirror was damaged whilst its been in the garage. and i am currently awaiting a replacement pair to be delievered
The glovebox catch could do with replacing. though the glovebox still works fine.
Overall. this is an incredibly tidy car and drives really nice. handles well and is really comfortable to drive. even over long distances. As I have already stated before its great on fuel. Tax is cheap. as is the insurance. This would be an ideal first time car.
