Re –listed as I couldn't upload the photo's

For sale my well cared for fully restored MG Midget- Professionally restored by a well-established MG garage approx. 15 years ago. I have approx. 30 photos of the restoration which included a full bare metal respray in its original tartan red. engine re-build and many new parts.

Massive history  file with many receipts including the 8k + bill for the resto.

As you can see from the pictures the car is in fantastic condition. as only had summer use since I was restored. – Kept in a dry heated garage.

The car has no rot at all. The only cosmetic issues are a small tear approx. 3 inches in the hood (This was due to a roll bar being fitted- now removed). I've not replaced the hood as not a major issue to me due to ‘sunny day' use only and the rest of it is in great condition. There is a small chip in the paint on the passage door. I knocked it getting the mower out the garage-Grrr! I have some original tartan red touch up paint. Passenger wing mirror is loose so I removed it –will inc this.

The bonnet has a bit of micro blistering on it but overall looks good – the rest of the car is excellent.

It's had a lot of new parts fitted inc Moto-lita steering wheel. minilites. new Runway tyres all round. new chrome. brakes. hoses. number plates. the dual oil /temp gauge has been fitted  – lots more

Performance : It has an unleaded head. magna-flow exhaust. 123 electronic ignition. Flame thrower coil. oil cooler. etc

I've recently put a very expensive weber style single carb on it. which gives power and sounds great however I find it harder to start and at low revs it runs rough. it's ok at high revs –My local MG garage looked at it and told me that really this carb is only suitable if you're going to race the car- which I don't.

For normal road use it's better to stick to the original SU's –So that was money well spent- not!! With this in mind I'm including the original twin SU's for the new owner to re-fit if desired. or get the weber set up by someone who knows what they're doing.

This car turns heads. gets lots of comments -it isn't perfect – like most 40+ year old cars. but only needs minor messing with and you could have a show winner.

Currently SORN and the MOT has expired – I will re MOT for the new owner- I don't anticipate any problems as less than 200 miles since last MOT.

Included is an MG wallet with all paperwork. bills. new period reproduction hand book. Haynes manual. half tonnaeu etc.

Please call me on 07398 237004 for full details. no overseas. sorry. Viewings welcome.

Once a sale agreed I require a small. say £50. deposit within 24 hours. If you pull out the sale for whatever reason. no hard feelings. but I will keep the deposit to cover costs.
