For Sale – Classic Mini Turbo!

This car started life as a Mini ‘Racing Flame' Checkmate. one of the owners before me ripped out the Cooper 1000cc engine and replaced it with a 1293cc metro lump (regd on log book).

While I have owned it has had the following changes.

Replaced engine with an MED built 1380cc

Omega pistons

Piper cams

(cant remember full spec – all performance though)

Fully refurbed gearbox by ‘GuessWorks'

We then added a Garret T2 Turbo for a bit more oomph.

Alluminium hi capacity radiator

New headlamps ( P700 type)

7x13 Ultralite wheels with Yoko Tyres (loads left)

Speedo recalibrated to wheels by Speedy Cables

Full Roll Cage

Bucket seats

Racing harnesses

(original seats and seat belts will come with the car)

Spax Coil-Overs

Refurbed 4pot Metro Turbo callipers with braided hoses.

This is the fastest mini I have ever driven. it handles as a mini should and with the uprated suspension and braking it can handle the extra power from the turbo charged 1380 racing spec engine. No major oil leaks (some light spotting – it's a mini afterall) only rust I can find is to the lower of both doors (paint bubbling) Car has been garaged throughout my ownership. I built it with the intention of using it as a road legal track car but with a young family I am struggling to find the time to play with her and have only covered 500 miles since MOT last October. still starts first time every time and very reliable. Mileage is approximately 2500 (yes this isn't made up) since the engine was built and installed – clocks show 1500 as the speedo was away being calibrated for longer than I anticipated so I used some old clocks while I ran the engine in. MOT and Tax to October 2013.

Test drives possible by appointment. will need to bring full asking price in cash and proof of insurance! No exceptions! Alternatively I can drive you as a passenger.
