1970 MGB V8 Roadster for sale
Current customer rating: (308 votes ) based onThis is the MGB they should have made. Built from a perfect chrome bumper roadster shell. it has been fitted with the 3. 5-litre V8 engine and five-speed gearbox and trimmed in piped grey leather with a new mohair hood. It's every inch the classic MGB Roadster in appearance but with the performance and drivability of the later. less attractive MG RV8.
The body is completely corrosion free – we suspect it's a Heritage shell – and beautifully finished in Tartan Red. It wears superb chrome and a recent mohair hood.
The interior has been completely retrimmed in piped grey leather with new carpeting and walnut cappings to the dashboard and doors. Electric windows and a modern stereo upgrade the interior along with a beautiful Moto Lita steering wheel. The boot area is equally nicely trimmed in grey carpet and features a six-disc CD autochanger.
Under the genuine aluminium MGC bonnet the engine bay is very nicely. The 3. 5-litre Rover engine was completely rebuilt last year in Germany and wears a four-barrel carburettor. Behind that the LT77 five-speed has just been professionally rebuilt along with the rear axle that was professionally rebuilt at the same time.
The brakes and suspension have been rebuilt in recent years with the suspension upgraded to telescopic dampers. It wears Minilite alloy wheels with new tyres.
We have a good history file with the car including substantial bills for all recent work.
This would be great car for summer days or every day. capable of relaxed high-speed cruising that would make it perfect for long trips. With a completely rebuilt drivetrain and superb body and interior there's little for the new owner to do other than to drive and enjoy the car.
