1988 Volvo 780 Coupe. 2. 8 litre V6. blue on blue. Oregon car. absolutely no rust but some sun damage on the clearcoat and rubber. Interior is in nice shape overall. dash has some cracks in it and the rear seatback & driver's door panel aren't perfect. some of the power seat controls are a bit flaky and the heated seats don't work. Everything else does though - air conditioning. power antenna. cruise. PW & PDL. etc. There is normal wear and tear on the body. some small parking lot dents and scuffs. one taillight is cracked near the license plate. there is a small star in the windshield that has been filled so it is visible but hasn't grown in 6 years. The motor is the most surprising part - when I got the car it leaked everything but I went through the motor a couple years ago and was shocked at the incredible condition it was in! With 200. 00 miles on it. everything was still in serviceable condition. All new gaskets and seals. new knock sensors. lots of cleaning and paint. and now it's a little jewel. I assembled this car for myself. not to sell. so I took my time and did it all right. I never drove it in the snow or slush. it hasn't seen salt as long as I've owned it (2007 or 2008) and I doubt it saw any before that.
Summer tires are fairly new. new struts and strut mounts. front brakes. hoses and fluids all less than 1 year old from when I stopped driving it (2 years ago). most other mechanical parts replaced or rebuilt within the 5 years I drove it. The car has been unused for the past couple of years but have fairly regularly started and fully warmed it up. and occasionally drove it around the block. The car really is in great shape for a 25 year old. Italian bodied Volvo.
The car comes with some extra parts. interior and whatnot. spare engine and ignition computers. and there are some other parts for the car that I can make a deal on as well. Home-made exhaust headers. spare cylinder heads. camshafts and rockers. even some hard-to-find parts to convert the car to a manual transmission are available for a small extra cost.
