Offered for your consideration is this restored 1967 Mustang Fastback in the most desirable color combination; Candyapple Red with Red interior. with the legendary 289 V8 and 4-speed Toploader.

The specifics are as follows:

VIN: 7R02C106###     BODY 63A     COLOR T     TRIM 2D     DATE 16J     DSO 52     AXLE 6     TRANS 1

BODY:

This is a REAL fastback; not a fastback roof attached to a chopped Mustang coupe. The VIN on the data plate and the fender apron match. A ground up restoration was done on a compete. intact. original and unmodified 1967 Mustang Fastback by Classic & Performance Mustangs in Denver in 2002-2003. The body work included floors and rear quarters using high quality replacement sheet metal. Following the body work the car was primed. undercoated with Zolotone. and painted factory code-correct Candy Apple Red with DuPont Chroma-Premiere. All glass. including windshield is Ford factory OEM (Car-Lite). All invoices documenting the body work restoration. paint. engine. and transmission rebuild are included with sale.

INTERIOR:

The car is equipped with the red standard vinyl interior. with the fold-down rear seat option. The front vinyl seat covers were replaced in 1998 and are beginning to show some normal wear. A new headliner and carpet were installed. along with re-dyeing the dash pad and door and rear interior panels. when the car was re-assembled. The radio is a Kenwood AM/FM/CD player with Sirius Satellite radio installed in the factory dash opening. All gauges. wipers. turn signals. etc. . work. Also included is a new mini tachometer. still in the box. which hasn't been installed yet. It is designed to fit in the center dashboard opening where an optional factory clock would have been installed. It's a cool accessory that's a great alternative to the factory in-dash tachs. and looks much cleaner than an after-market steering wheel mounted Sun tach IMHO.

ENGINE:

The C-Code 289 V8 was completely rebuilt by one of Denver's premier engine builders. Havana Machine in Aurora in 2002. The block was bored 0. 030” over. for a displacement of 292 cu. in. . and fully balanced prior to re-assembly. The heads were re-done with hard exhaust seats for unleaded fuel. It has a Crane mild street grind cam. and is currently running a Holley 500 cfm 2-bbl carb with low-restriction chrome air cleaner on the stock intake manifold. The standard single exhaust system was converted to a dual exhaust system by Exhaust-Pros in Arvada Colorado. The original Ford Motorcraft 2-bbl carburetor with factory air cleaner is also included if someone prefers to return the engine to the stock configuration.

TRANSMISSION:

A date-code correct Ford 4-speed. standard ratio Toploader transmission was professionally rebuilt by Cottmann Transmissions in Denver in 2011. along with a new clutch and pressure plate. The shifter is a correct Ford Toploader shifter with the spring-loaded reverse lock-out “T” on the shift handle. The original factory Ford three-speed manual transmission and shifter are included for any owner wanting to return the drive train to its original configuration. Other than the transmission swap. everything else is original or stock to the car.

BRAKES:

The four wheel manual drum braking system was rebuilt by Aamco in 1999. including wheel cylinders. shoes. linings and all drums were serviced when turned. The car has been driven less than 3000 miles since the brake work was done.

WHEELS. TIRES:

P205/70R14 Goodyear “Spectra” radials with narrow white-walls are mounted on reproduction Ford Styled Steel Wheel rims. Remaining tire tread is better than 75%.

SUMMARY:

All in all. this is a great “Driver” condition Mustang that's guaranteed to turns heads and gets thumbs-up wherever you go. It's certainly ready to be enjoyed as-is. or it could be an ideal starting point for a resto-mod with a performance drive train or many other custom upgrades available for this very popular Mustang model.

It's been driven less than 3000 miles since the engine was rebuilt and the body redone. On regular trips from Denver to Steamboat Springs for the annual Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup. or to Pueblo for the Street Rod Nationals. this Mustang easily gets 25+ mpg cruising all day at 70 mph. The engine runs cool with excellent oil pressure.

Although it fully qualifies for Colorado “Collector” license plates that renew every 5 years. I opted for regular plates that necessitate emission testing on an annual basis. This car has easily passed the yearly emission test since the engine was redone.

Among the few items I believe need attention. the heater cables from the dashboard control to the heater box are worn and loose and should be replaced and the heater box re-mounted. The cables are readily available at any shop specializing in Mustangs. Also the driver's door hinge needs a replacement “pin” to hold the door at ½ open. I may be able to get this piece locally and have it replaced before the new owner picks up the car. Also. lately I've noticed a few small drops from around the oil pan which possibly needs a new gasket. The engine. transmission and rear-end gaskets and seals are 13 years old and as a matter of routine maintenance should be checked by your mechanic and replaced as needed. The courtesy light lenses on the back seat interior panels need to be replaced. as well as the fold-down rear seat latch covers. All these parts are readily available from numerous Mustang restoration parts catalogs.

PLEASE NOTE

This is a 47 year old car driven approximately 160. 00 miles since new. but only 3000 miles since all this extensive work was done. As with any of these classic Mustangs. how you plan to drive it dictates what you might want to upgrade. This car was intentionally kept as close to "stock" as possible since it was never intended to rally or race; just drive as a reliable. nbsp;economical cruiser. It is being sold “AS-IS. WHERE-IS” with absolutely no warranty or guarantee of any kind regarding its future performance. or its suitability for any specific use. Any representations of repairs and/or restoration made herein are only those as stated in the professional work orders and invoices included as documentation with this sale. Please let me know if you need any additional information or pictures.

Recently. restored 1967 Mustang Fastbacks on eBay and AutoTrader are selling for well into the $40K to $50K range. with pristine restomod or highly optioned S-Code GT trailer queen examples going for easily twice that amount. This Mustang is a basic fastback model. and a really attractive head-turning driver. It's not flawless. but you won‘t be afraid to drive it either. Based upon comparable 1967 Mustang fastbacks. I believe my $35. 00 price is reasonable. and is therefore not-negotiable. Sorry. nbsp;I am not interested in any trades. and am only interested a 100% cash sale. I have a good Colorado title in hand and will gladly provide a new emission test upon sale if necessary.

Please contact me regarding this car only if you are an absolutely serious buyer. No joy rides please. Thank you for your interest in this 1967 Mustang Fastback and I look forward to working with you if you are seriously interested in making this timeless classic Mustang Fastback yours.
