Dodge : Power Wagon Custom

For sale: Rare 1975 Power Wagon Crew Cab W200 4x4 short box heavy duty former USAF flight line truck.  Good condition. 99 percent rust free and runs and drives great. This truck after some years at Malmstrom AFB was sold with fairly low mileage(around 80k) to the State of Montana Dept of Natural Resource and Conservation. It saw use there for a few more years and was subsequently sold at auction to a private party. It's had meticulous maintenance all along the way. Originally Strata blue. the DNRC repainted it to their familiar safety yellow color.  Very dry truck with only minor rust at very bottom of front fenders.  Here in the land of sagebrush and prickly pear cactus. we only see 10 inches of total moisture per year and no salt is used on the roads. so we don't see rust issues.  This Power Wagon is ready to use as is or a perfect candidate for a Cummins diesel swap. I'll do my best to describe it below.  

Exterior: Pretty straight. very solid truck with only minor rust. As stated above. exterior of truck was repainted from the original Strata blue to safety yellow. Interior was not repainted. Only rust I can see is at bottoms of front fenders and a small spot in box. Underside of truck is very clean with floors. inner fenders. rockers. cab mounts. cab drop-offs and frame excellent - see link to pics below. Nothing hidden with undercoat. what you see is what you get. In this arid land. we don't get major rust. cancer or rot - there's just no moisture.  The usual dents from a life of work are present. notably in passenger front fender and inside of box. Inside of box is fairly beat. a liner would cover it and look great. Glass is good except windshield. which will need to be replaced. Driver door hangs a bit on the striker. Overall super solid truck.

Interior: Overall very good. No cracks in dash. door panels. armrests or headliner. Original carpet in very good condition with no damage. Front seat has some tears in seat bottom under cover. Heater fan swich failed and external switch was installed in dash and works fine. Everything works as far as I can tell except fuel gauge.  There is a small hole in dash low on driver side from emergency light switch. Aftermarket stereo installed and it works great. Just an honest functional truck.

Mechanical: Starts. runs. and drives out great. Bulletproof and venerable 318 motor. nbsp;727 trans and Dana 60/44 axles in good condition and working well.  Hooker headers and 3" exhaust with Flowmasters were added by previous owner and the truck sounds fantastic and pulls well. 4x4 works fine.  I started this rig at -21 below a few weeks ago and it fired instantly. No noticeable noises. smoke. or leaks. Only thing I can see that doesn't work is fuel gauge - it's non-op. Tires are 10 ply LT235/85/16 and have great tread with no cracking. Steers and stops fine. A blast to drive and it gets some looks!
