Dodge : Dart Sport

Mopar 74 Dart Sport FLORIDA CAR!   

   This 74 Dart Sport was a daily driver in Florida until this past August.  The previous owner kept the engine. transmission and rear and sold the body to us.   The car is currently located near Savannah. It has a Georgia title now.   I put a junkyard 74 360 4 barrel into it and. with the help of a parts car. I fixed many of the small things that were wrong with the car. This car is not finished. It could be used as a parts car or you could continue with the restoration that I started.

It has the optional fold down rear seat and I put a set of 75 Dart bucket seats in the front.

The Dart has disc brakes with new pads. rotors and master cylinder. factory air (all there. needs charged). The custom bent exhaust sounds great. It has an 8. 25 rear. NOT posi. ratio unknown. The transmission is a 904. The dash was changed to a nicer one so the true mileage is unknown. I don't have it tagged or insured so I haven't been able to drive it long distances. It goes down the road. seems to shift correctly and has a lot of power.

The body has the usual minor rust (pictured) but it's very repairable. The rear lower quarters need done. the bottoms of the fenders are rusty and the entire left front fender is dented and has bondo in it. The right front floor panel needs replaced. but I wire brushed the rest of the floor and painted it with POR 15 There are a couple of pinholes that could be patched without replacement.   The frame rails are very good.

All that being said. this is still a 41 year old car that has an untested junkyard engine/transmission. It could go another 100k miles. but it could blow up tomorrow!

 The paint looks good from 20 feet but it is a low quality repaint. The car was originally gold with creme/tan interior. The door jams. engine & trunk compartment are done in flat black.  It is not original or numbers match. You will NOT be able to drive this car home. It is being sold "as is where is" as a parts car. I think it's a fair price and a good deal but I don't want to pass it off as something better than it is. Please look carefully at the pics and ask any questions before buying.

As for the auction. there is NO RESERVE so the high bidder takes it home! I do reserve the right to end this auction early at any time because the car is for sale locally (for $3600 if you are curious or want to buy it outright). I will entertain serious cash offers before the end of the auction.

Please be serious about bidding. There is a $500 NON REFUNDABLE Paypal deposit due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The remainder of the purchase price is due in cash upon pickup. Under no circumstances will I accept less than the bid price when you pick up the car. Pickup must be within 10 days of auction end. Again. the car is located near Savannah. Georgia and IS NOT ROADWORTHY TO DRIVE HOME!  Sorry: we will not ship this car.
