Toyota : Land Cruiser Fj73 for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.15) based on 577 votes

1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ73 with 137. 00 kilometers on the odometer. It is a GAS engine.  It has a rare factory soft top.  Florida title and current Florida registration. Also known as "El Colombiano" or "Machito"

Real Vin Number On the Title is : FJ730004760  ( the vin number on this eBay Listing is a 17 digit vin from one another car because eBay did not allow a VIN with less than 17 digits that is newer than 1982)

Nicholas. the prior owner. personally imported this FJ Land Cruiser for his personal enjoyment from South America (Colombia) back in June of 2013.   This is a true Japanese version. assembled in Japan 100%.  Repainted with the original CH9 Olive Green from Toyota.   The vehicle has never been used for off-roading and the roof canvas can complete be taken off and enjoyed as a convertible.   The Windshield also can be taken down and it looks as a Safari Vehicle.   It has an all-weather upholstery that is matching to the exterior paint color. One key included in sale. Original Toyota owner's manual (in Spanish) is included in sale.

To import & register this car in the USA is an extremely difficult process.  To find one. in this condition. is extremely difficult.  The paperwork and process to authenticate & prove to the USA at import that this is 100% original. non-stolen is difficult and expensive and it took Nicholas months to accomplish.   I will provide copies of all the import paper work with the purchase.

Features:

-Straight 6 Cylinder 3955 C

-Regular Unleaded Gas Vehicle

-Rare Left Hand Drive (mostly all are right hand drive)

-5 speed manual transmission 4x4 with Manual Front Lockers

-Rare Roof Canvas in Excellent Condition with no Rips or Tears

-Air Conditioning (isn't terribly cold but it has the factory AC)

-Manual Windows & Locks

-Everything Works:  Speedometer. Fuel Gauge. Temperature Gauge. Volt Gauge. Wipers. Lights. 4x4 Transmission. clear Windshield. dome light.

-Rare Toyota floor mats. front and rear

-Rear seats are removable

-Low & High Beams. Fog Lights. Turn Signals. Brake Lights

-Full float front axle and heavy duty leaf spring suspension (all matched to vehicle's weight so not too stiff)

-Rare tropical glass front windshield

-Altimeter and center tilt gauges work. including the light!

What's Bad:

-The front windshield frame (you can't see it with windshield upright) has some rust but can be fixed pretty easily by a body shop

-The paint has some fade

-The rear door cards were not upgraded and have holes from removal of speakers.

-Radio needs blank face plate to fill-in gap

-Does not have cruise control or heat (just AC. was tropical car)

I purchased the vehicle last Spring and the FJ then went in for a variety of upgrades. all receipts included in sale. by a reputable Land Cruiser shop in Florida.  Thousands spent on the following upgrades and repairs:

1) Old Man EMU suspension

2) Complete axle service

3) Complete brake overhaul

4) Performance package for engine and tuning (headers too. so no smokey start-ups or need for choke)

5) Entire interior lined with spray-in liner to protect against rust and wear

6) New Toyota OEM wheels and brand new BF Goodrich AT tires

7) New battery and cables

8) New pedal covers

9) New clutch

10) Complete frame-mounted ROLL BAR installed for safety (painted hi-gloss black)

11) New seat belt parts installed for safety

12) All aftermarket DIY electric parts removed for fire safety

13) Radio. speakers. and antenna removed

14) New door cards

15) New manual window roll-ups

16) Radiator repairs

The vehicle is now much safer to drive due to seat belts and roll bar and steering/suspension improvements. The vehicle is also been professionally serviced and should provide lots of trouble free reliable use on-road or off-road. Vehicle was driven 2. 5hrs on highway at 75mph this week.  I'd imagine the service work done is covered under warranty for a period of time. can check on that.

12/25/14 Update - just drove it from Jupiter. Florida to Key Largo which is south along Florida's Turnpike.  Cruiser ran perfectly at 120kmph (aka 75mph) the whole way.  Headwind the whole way and truck was stable and fun to drive.  Mileage is about 136. 00 kilometers

12/25/14 Update - send me a message if you want link to videos of truck running (taken today)
